As someone who wants to make a career out of writing in a very non-creative town, I feel somewhat isolated and as though I have to suppress my dreams instead of sharing them with others, who will usually scoff at my "unlikely career choice." Everyone around me is super boring and wants to be a business major, or an engineer or something in the medical field or a mechanic, you know? They want to go with safe life choices.
I don't mean to discriminate, but when I go to Barnes and Noble or the library, the people aren't of my age, and older authors have a lot of good advice, but for just someone I want to be friends with and share my time with they don't really fit.
I am 20 years old, a female and a writer, if anyone who aso feels isolated because of their hobby wants to connect here is my facebook.

Now you may say it's dangerous to post that on here, but I feel very secure as it doesn't have any VERY personal information on there.
Added (1). Now that isn't to say if someone older wanted to chat and exchange advice I would be against that. Oh no, I'd love that as well. :) I am just mostly seeking company of a similar age group, sometimes I feel like I am the only 20 year old writer out there, because most people have let go of their dreams by my age.
