I bought a version of the Arabian Nights at Barnes and Nobles, translated by Sir Richard F. Burton. I am just confused, because I know he translated the 1001 nights into 10 Volumes, but this copy I bought isn't one of the Volumes. All it says is that it was translated by Burton. I think that maybe it is just the more famous stories, but I don't know? Can someone explain this too me?
This is the link for the copy I bought:

New to D&D could use some help?
I'm just beginning to play Dungeons&Dragons with a group of friends (also new to it) and I have been appointed DM. They have set up their characters already using the starter kit we found at Barnes and Noble. I have a pre written adventure (per the recommendations of others), but I'm having a little trouble understanding and running it. I need any tips or resources you may have, thank you!

Harmed
She was wild, her ancestry weaved and twisted in the blood that ran through her veins and rippled under her skin. The pads that lay on the underside of her paws were familiar with the texture of dry grass, beaten by the heat of the merciless African sun, and her pelt was bleached and dusty, scarred from her childhood tousles. Yet now, her claws were blunt and her limbs cramped by the cold concrete floor that surrounded her, and her ears grown tired to the never ending cracks of whips that hung above her head, driving her leaps through circles of fire.
He was a striped youth, brought up in the forgotten nooks and crannies of the once favored circus. His pelt consisted of a bundle of fur, matted by the lasting layer of settled dust, which engulfed the water he was supposedly meant to drink, and blanketed the surface of his locked up enclosure. The slightest shift of a limb, or the most fragile gust of downwards directed breath would send the fine particles flying upwards like the ash of a newly erupted Mt Fuji.
She cowered as the end of the tightly wrapped rope lashed past her muzzle, sending an unnerving crack through the arena. Her eyes reflected the flames of the blazing ring as she sensed the warmth beat menacingly close to her chest, barely incinerating her hide.At the sight of the approaching whip, she stumbled and plummeted into the blaze.
He padded the boundary of the enclosed stage, observing the nearing threat. His vision blurred, his lack of food finally taking its toll on his flesh and bone. He barely reacted when pain swept across his frail structure and numbed his thoughts and senses. His back throbbed, a clear indentation right behind his left shoulder.
She bellowed as she collided into the brim of the flaming hoop, the red hot metal searing a streak across her chest, burning her skin beyond repair. Her roar raced across the circus grounds and she tumbled as her forepaws hit the earth.
His ears flickered, sensing torment from the opposite side of the grounds. He paused, feeling sympathy for the animal that had followed in suite to a tormented existence. Immediately his aggressive essence reacted, and he leapt at the striker as a second blow lashed across his right eye. He fell short of a certain massacre, his eyes swirling into a mass of colors, like that of fuel and water merging together.
Her chest throbbed, an unceasing pain that constricted her breath. The sear was deep, yet there was no bandage wrapped around her chest, no nursing to heal the wound, not the faintest hint of pity for the traumatized beast. The heap of straw underneath her paw fluttered at her breath, her wary eyes scanning every feature and detail of the wooden crate.
He stirred, his legs shoving against the wood barrier that surrounded him. His sight was severed, his right eye beyond use. A snarl made its way from his throat and escaped his lips as a thundering roar that would have scared the life out of any sizeable beast. A feeble growl uttered a response, sparking curiosity in the heart of an animal that so rarely showed interest in anything, neither living nor deceased. He unhurriedly shifted to address an odd pair amber eyes intently staring at him through the poorly sized air holes.
She flinched at the sight of him. His right eye was blind, a fog of various shades swirling, similar to that of smoke rising from a drowned fire. A raw gash ran across it, from the upper eyelid far enough to make the right side of his face grin in the same way that the Cheshire cat grinned at Alice for the first time.
He trembled at the sound of the human voice. A pair of them walked not far from the crates and their voices rang ignorantly through the warehouse, disturbing the big cats.
Added (1). She never had understood the tongue of humans, and never would. She understood them just as well as they understood her and as a result, they sounded to her like yet another unfamiliar species trying to converse with each other.
He had lived in the presence of the cruel beast since he was a cub and had firm images planted into the back of his mind from adolescence. His hatred towards them burned hotter than the gouge in her chest, yet he cowered in their presence, the realization of a more intelligent species taking revenge on the predators that once hunted their kind frightened even the largest beasts.
The conversation between the two humans was hurried, a decision to be agreed upon quickly. One of the cats was wounded beyond use, a purposeless scrap of meat.To heal her would cost and arm and a leg, the poverty-stricken circus had no such money. The second feline was a hazard, a living risk on stage. Severed sight was no advantage either, a reason for him to be increasingly high
Added (2). (cut off the end)
my question is would there be any suggestions, this is my final draft?

Should I keep my Nook?
Just got the Nook HD+ because I really liked it better than the Amazon Kindle. Now I learn that Nook will be discontinued and bought out my Microsoft. What does this mean? Will ebooks for Nook then be unavailable? Have I purchased a device that I may not be able to use within a year? I purchased my Nook 1 week ago, so I'm still within the 14 day return limit. Should I bring it back for a refund?

Has anybody had any experience with Smashwords?
I am now published on Kindle (where the wolf Spiders Sleep by Shane Ellis - for anybody who's interested) and I want to get the product out there for the nook market.
Is it worth while going publishing on Smashwords as well as Kindle or better just to sign up for KDP Select?

What should I wear to this job interview?
I have an interview with the clothing store Torrid, which is plus size fashion. I wouldn't say it's a very high end store, maybe the equivalent of H&M. Stylish but casual clothes I guess, I've never really shopped there but i've been in Torrid before. I'm meeting the interviewer at the cafe section in barnes&noble which is in the immediate area of the store, so that tells me that it's pretty casual.but since this is a clothing store i'm applying for, should I make the effort to look "fashionable"? and still keep it somewhat professional? Any tips or specific ideas of what i could wear would be great, thank you! (this is my first job interview in over a year, wish me luck!!) any tips on how i should act would be nice too lol

Downloading on Nook problems?
Ok so I got books some books (childrens books, chapter books, etc) and some comics also and now I am trying to get them onto my Nook Color (the very first generation of the nook color) but when I try to download it this is what it says "Oops! This item cannot be downloaded to your browser." I've tried on 3 different computers and 3 different internets and I am not sure how to solve my problem. I hope you can help me on how to fix it! I'm wondering if its the actual computer itself or it's the fact that my nook can't handle these books. Well I'd be glad to have your input thanks again in advance!

I would like suggestions about selling books?
I'm 19 and during my high school years i was a book addict. I bought books every time i received my allowance. I recently bought a nook, and well i buy books online once in a while. Because i was busy with college, i have not had time to read at all. Now, i have over a hundred books that are just laying to waste because i don't need them any more since i buy them cheaper on my nook. And since being a teenager, i have a whole bunch of romance, paranormal, and other kinds of books.
I dont want to donate them, i want to make a profit out of them. But i don't know how to sell them online like amazon, or eBay cause i am worried that i might be scammed or something. I don't know any book stores that buy used books.
I cant put a yard sell because of my parent, and plus my neighborhood consist of only older people, no teenagers at all.
Any suggestion on how i can sell them???

Company Take Over, How Do i report employers when filing for unemployment?
I worked for a college bookstore for about 4 years, the last year (not fully a year) Barnes and Noble came and took over. I did receive two W2s when tax time came around, i used to get payed through the school auxiliary, but when Barnes and Noble took over i was paid through them. I am now trying to file for unemployment and it asked my job history i know i report Barnes and Noble as last employer but it asked for last 18 months of job history, do i report the The school auxiliary even though its sort of the same place. I'm confused on how this works i mean i worked with the other longer and i had more pay then and more hours so if i report them it might benefit me somewhat right. I don't know. Please help. Thank You ^_^!

I have tried looking for these everywhere (Barnes & Noble, Walgreens, Five Below, etc) but can't seem to find them. I love collecting blind box/bag figures, so I'd like to know where to start.DO NOT GIVE ME ONLINE STORES. I want to collect these in real life instead as it is more fun that way. How to 'Seal' my window?
I know its a bit late but last year I forgot to close the outer part of my window so rain and snow got in and the wood that endured that now looks terrible.
I noticed that there were these very tiny barely see-able bugs all around my window sill and I've read that wiping down the windows with bleach really helps so I'm planning to do that tomorrow.
I was wondering if there was anything that I can use to cover over the entire window sill. I was thinking that white water sealant that you use around windows, nooks and crannys etc.
Would I be able to or is there a special mixture out there?

Is there a VERY mild shounen ai manga that is sold in a store like barnes and noble? Look, I kinda am beginning to like yaoi because in yaoi manga the guys are less… stupid and I like characters with short hair. I found the song on Pandora on the Nook Colour version on the SOSOSO Tsukui Kazuhito (Hatsune Miku)

Hi. Can anyone recommend book stores to me for downloading ePub format books to my Nook? Unfortunately some titles on the Barnes & Nobel US site you can't download if you're outside the US like me (I am in the UK). The Nook UK site doesn't seem to have the content that the US B&N site has.
