Some browser issues on nook hd plus tablet?

So, I have some websites that I wouldn't want other people to see on my search bar. Like I deleted my history but it still pops up when I search for a website in the search bar at the top. I'm on a Nook HD + tablet and the browser is a mobile version of Chrome. Please help!

I had my 2nd interview with Barnes and Nobles and the first manager I interviewed with said he would recommend me to do a 2nd interview which initially I thought was a good sign…

but after my 2nd interview, it was too laid back and casual I felt something was off? I felt like I was talking to more of a friend than a potential employer and she said she would send me an email for my background check and call me on the weekend if they wanted me to work for them. But I'm sooo nervous, should I call them tomorrow about the job or wait?

I was planning on giving my mom a Kindle Fire. She would just mostly read on it.So is that a good choice or should I get her a Nook. I also planned on getting myself something too. I would play games on it, go on the internet, maybe watch movie and listen to music, and read books.So which one should I get? Can you also tell the pro's and con's of the two products?

Is Physical Manga/Books Going to Cease With the Tech We Have Now?

I hope it doesn't. Because me and many like me, like to collect manga and enjoy having the actual product in their hands.It really gets me angry and to be honest, a bit nervous too because I have a very, very nice collection going on and it has cost me a fortune to get where I am today. Now, call me old-fashioned but I don't EVER want to have to resort to one of those Kindle or Nooks to read my favorite titles.To me, that feels very artificial and fake-even though I know it is licensed and all but I think the main reason I like the physical format better is because you can actually see and show off your collection. I'm pretty sure you can do something similar with the Kindle as far as libraries go but to me wouldn't feel the same.

My predictions are… in roughly 15 or so years, the world will be dominated by that Nook and Kindle crap and will be very hard to find physical copies. Even now, people say "It's better for the environment because we don't have to cut down as many trees" or something along those lines. I think as more people agree with this, they will ultimately stop book production ( of any kind ) and will forever be replaced with digital ***.
Well, that's my prediction. I'd like to here yours.Do you think it will stop at all? If so, how many more years?

Tablet Decision Help?

So I've been looking at tablets for awhile… But I have gotten absolutely nowhere. I know that most of this is personal preference, but I could use some suggestions. Here's my criteria: It needs to be under $200, but around $150 is preferable, it needs to have a micro SD slot, and if possible, a decent front-facing camera. I was looking at a Nook HD+, but it lacked the camera. If there's no other choices, I will probably go with the Nook, but please give me ideas.

Okay, so I have a nook, and the adapter for it gets really hot, so I decided to use my playstation vita adapter, and plug the usb cable for the nook in it.will that harm the battery if I do this? And also I do the same for my iphone (ps vita adapter, and iphone usb cable in it.) Thank you in advance! Please help!

I've read online that Kindle doesn't support epubs, but can when downloaded with Calibre. I'm kind of leaning to the side of Nook because it looks cool and it supports epubs. What do you guys think? Which of the two is the better e-reader for downloading from Tuebl? Can you download from Tuebl directly into the Nook and Kindle?

I used to visit a website where you could choose the best house for you by selecting the type of house (tudor, cape cod, american colonial), how many stories it would be, how many rooms, what kind of windows, what kind of rooms (sunroom, mudroom, breakfast nook, indoor pool, basement), etc. You could also choose if you wanted walk in closets, a kitchen island, a basement, etc. I absolutely cannot remember the name of the site anymore so if anyone knows please let me know! My summer reading book is 'Brave New World'. I bought it on my nook and started reading it, but my friend said that my version is shorter.Is this possible? Thought i'd ask her out on fb since i don't see her and she works a lot. I asked if she was works everyday and she said yes. Then I said haha making that paper and she was like mhmm bread for days. I got a haircut and changed my profile pic and she commented on it with "better". She asked if i was Mexican (which i am) bc she was curious. Then i asked what ethnicity she was and she told me and joked about how she's really just a white thug. She asked if i work in the music business and I told her i want to someday and she said now i feel like a loser. I told her that she shouldn't feel like a loser and that she has good goals and I believe she can achieve them. I went to her grad party and she seems really sweet. She said she really likes my haircut and it really fits me/looks well on me. Someone noticed her tattoo and she showed us and I joked and was like i was thinking about getting a unicorn with thug life written under it and made her laugh. I was going to ask her out and ask for her phone number but i was standing right by her when this really awkward guy asked for it..she said she'd give it to him on fb. She told me she doesn't like him because he's really awkward. After he left we took a nice walk to look at each others cars. When I left i gave her a hug and I told her i had a nice time and she said thanks for coming, we should hang sometime. She posted on fb if anyone wanted to go out to eat and I posted 40 min later (was taking a nap and just woke up) I would love to go with you. She said, you would? Then she said she forgot her mom was making food and changed her mind. I sent her a pic and made her laugh..then later she told me she just woke up and she had a headache and i told her i hope she feels better. Looking for first king of Shannara book, help!

Ok so I am a Terry Brooks fanatic and decided to invest my money into hardback editions of all his books. I found that each series has its own "all in 1" hardbacks which I really love. They have the nice deckle edges and everything. However, the First King of Shannara (not being in an actual series) wasn't included in these. When I ordered it along with the nice all in 1 books, they gave me this pathetic and crappy library bound hardcover.It sucks and it looks like complete crap next to the beautiful all in 1 books.

Now on to my question: does anyone have a website, any website, that I can buy a nice looking hardcover of First King of Shannara? It doesn't have to have deckle edge but it cannot in any way be the old cover (the one with the wraiths and the guy with the sword). Plllleasse I have searched everywhere for one but all I am finding is the old cover or the library bindings. Even barnes and noble doesn't have a decent copy.

What's a day you will be very sad to see?

I'll be sad when Barnes and Noble closes, because I've heard that talk. I can order books on Amazon or wherever yes, but it's not the same as going and walking through the aisles, looking at all the titles/smiling on your way out of the bookstore when you've chosen what you're going to read next. I read somewhere that we won't have to expect this until around 2017 though, so that's good. Hey, maybe there will be a book buying boom within the decade! *she said without much hope*

BQ: Day you'll be happy to see? I can't wait until I graduate high school. I can't see myself being sad at all, though I probably will be.

How should I approach a woman at a book store or coffee shop?

I was at Barnes & Noble, sipping a coffee at the Starbucks while reading a magazine when a woman sitting alone caught my eye. We exchanged a few looks and I believe there was mutual interest.

But I was unable to approach her because I have no idea about what I should have said. All my dating in the past was with girls I met in college, work or online.

Well, I really like to draw. I have Paint Tool Sai on my computer. But it's SO HARD to draw with mouse. I can barely make an oval let alone a circle. Was at Barnes and Noble. I was reading a book and a girl entered the same aisle I was in. She glanced at me a few times while she was reading her book. I put the book back on the shelf and went to another part of the store. I glanced over in her direction. She looked back at where I was standing. When she didn't see that I was there. Files on micro sd card keep reappearing?

I rooted my Nook Color with a 8 gig micro sd card but wanted to put another root, since the one I had was laggy, so I plugged the micro sd card in the computer through usb reader, and formated it (both full and quick format) But when I wrote an image to the sd card, i saw that it took quite a lot of space, when the file is very small. Then when I went to copy another file which is also very small, (altogether this should be way less then 1 gig) the micro sd told me theirs no more space. Their must be hidden or corrupeted files on it.

So i checked for hidden files and sure enough their were some, but everytime I deleted them, they just came right back. I downloaded programs to low format the sd card, and that didnt work. I also downloaded a program to overwite everything, but that didnt work eiher. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME TOTALLY CLEAR EVERYTHING ON MY MICRO SD CARD SO I CAN ROOT MY NOOK COLOR AGAIN?

There is just so much I'm afraid of right now.?

Alright, so school starts soon. I'm so afraid. Things in my life are changing and some of these changes I'm not too confident about.To make a long story short, my life has gone from living in decent conditions to living in conditions that are worse. We don't really know where we will live, yet, but the neighborhood will most likely be a bad one. I'm not too worried about that. I'm worried about switching schools. I might not have to but the chances are slim. The school I've been going to is really good. I have good grades, even made some friends! I know the whole school, every nook and cranny. Now I might have to change schools right in the middle of High School. That's new surroundings, new people, and new ways of teaching. I know this is quite common, as most people have to change schools, but I'm so afraid.It brings me to tears to think about leaving after I've just gotten comfortable. I know many people have it worse than I do, I just need some help getting over this fear. The way I see it, moving can be the worst thing to happen to me, or the best thing.

Everywhere I look they are slowly getting rid of book stores and people are not wanting to read as much as they use to. How to ensure my cat feels safe in a new house?

I live in a one bedroom apartment alone with my cat that i've had ever since I brought her home when she was 6 weeks old. When I brought her home, she was terrified and had (sorry for the bluntness) diarrhoea on my suitcases when I went to go pick her up to comfort her, because I just moved in, and the apartment wasn't furnished yet. I am moving back home, however, in a much bigger house with my parents; there are alot of "nooks and crannies", storage rooms, stairs that go up and downstairs (one to the attic) and a basement. I'm worried she will be very confused and overwhelmed. How do I manage the transition?

Specifically, where should I keep her litter box and food; she trusts me and is not comfortable with anyoen else, so should I keep them in my room in the beginning (a fair distance apart?)

Should I not let her get into certain rooms?

I would appreciate all of you who take the time to answer, but please leave decent replies that will actually contribute to the conversation rather than insult me (I have had experience with this!) I am desperate here.

Why are there two different hard cover prices for the same book?

I've been looking online on Barnes & Noble and the books I've been looking at are in hardback, but they are on there twice with two different prices of about a $10 difference (some more). I'm curious as to why this is and if there's a difference.

I found a Borders gift card, can i redeem it,?

We were cleaning out the basement and i found a Borders/Walden Books gift card. There was a website on the back (borders.com) and it took me to the Barnes & Nobles page. I have a Nook account for B&N. I went to the gift cards tab and there was no option to redeem or anything about Borders. The Walden Books in my area closed. Did it go completely out of business or just a few franschises? Can i even use the gift card? I really want to be able to use it, but it doesnt say how much is on it.
