B&N Nook vs Samsung Gal. Tab2?

Ok hear me out.
My buddy just got a B&N Nook 9" (beautiful) screen.It's a really nice device. Runs Google play (unlike Kindle) and it's $150.00
Why would I pay 3x that to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab2?
