All about B&N Nook

Which tablet should I buy?

An Asus Google Nexus 7 at $199 or a Nook Color at $99? I know the Nexus 7 is a better tablet, but it is a 100 dollars more than the Nook. I can't decide so can someone pick for me. And tell me why if you have a specific reason.

Can I get games for my nook?

I have one of the oldest nooks (I'm not sure which one it is but it was before the nook color) I wanna know if I can get more games besides sudoku and chess. If I can how do I get there. I'm also willing to buy them if I have to. Thanks in advance. :D

Um I considering asking for a nook for Christmas. I am a total bookworm. I'll just list the cons and pros

Nook Tablet won't charge?

I've had my nook tablet for almost a year now, and it's worked just fine until recently.
A couple days ago, my tablet randomly started freezing and I'd have to restart it, I deleted the apps that it was happening too, thinking it was a defective app.
However, two days ago, i left my nook charging during the night, and when i woke up the next morning, it refused to turn on.
My school books are on there, so it really bothered me, but nevertheless I left it at home, thinking that maybe it just needed a break, since i was on it all the time. I left it unplugged.
When i came home, it still would not turn on, so i plugged it back in, but the little window that says "Please wait an additional fifteen minutes" or whatever, didn't even pop up.
I left it alone for the rest of the night.
Yesterday morning, i tried to turn it back on, but nothing still showed up.
My mother plugged it into her computer and started it through the USB cord.
Now a little red window pops up that says "Battery too low to power ON, please connect to your charger."
So, i plugged it in and left it alone, but this morning it still wouldn't turn on. I started to ask around, because although it is mine, occasionally my dad will watch movies on it, my mom will play games, and my twin brother and sister like to play with it when i'm not home.
Well, I have just been informed that my sister broke the right headphone on my headphones off, so the wires were showing. When my nook died, they couldn't find the powercord, so they thought that sticking the wires in the charging area of my nook would charge it, like the battery on a car (yeah, smart thinkers.).
I figure that's what messed it up and since they did it a while ago, i figured that's why it kept freezing and such, because it was slowly becoming broken.
I just want to know if there is anyway to fix it at home or anything without having to take it to best buy to pay for it to get fixed. Or at least if there is anyway for someone to tell my if they know what exactly is messed up inside of the tablet (the whole system, just the charging area… etc.).
Anything anyone can tell me about how to fix it or just what is wrong would be greatly appreciated!!!

Looking for a 200-250$ Tablet?

So I'm looking for a Tablet I've been looking at The Kindle, Nexus 7 and this Polaroid Tablet.
Mostly I'm looking for a Tablet where I can use Gift Cards/Cash Cards like for Google Play.iTunes these are just examples.
I don't want an iPad because of the lack of specs I've heard they had compared to the others and the price.

I'm looking for a Tablet that can probably play many of the Apps out there right now and pretty much some of the high graphic ones like SHADOWGUN, Infinity Blade and A Bard's Tale I know the last one is old but it has 3D graphics.
(I have a huge addiction to Temple Run)

I want one so I can watch Netflix on it I usually only use my Wii for Netflix.

My Mom has a Nook Color which seems pretty good except the touch screen usually doesn't respond when playing a movie or show on Netflix. Usually she has to reboot or go to home and go to the menu with all the Apps listed and click on Netflix from there.

I've also been looking at a iPod Touch but since I've been told I'd need a 16GB or higher which is like 200$ or 195$ on Amazon.

Unless you can buy Apps from the Amazon store and put them on any other Device other then a Kindle and this is just on the Amazon Website I'll probably have to go for a Nexus 7 but I'm hoping some of you guys have different options.

TLDR: Looking for a Tablet, Plays most of the apps out today, Netflix, Good Memory Size, A Good Battery size. Able to buy apps with Cash Cards or Gift Cards I don't own a debit/credit card.

When should I call to check up on a job application?

I had an interview on Thursday, and the interviewer said that she'd most likely call me that evening or the day after. She hasn't called me back yet, and I don't want to come off as pushy, but I want to show that i'm interested. Should I call on Monday? Or should I hold off? This is for a position as a cafe worker at Barnes and Noble.
