Pro painters, how do I handle this situation with my contractor?

I am currently having my house painted, it's block with wood trim in Arizona. I hired a painter and confirmed with him that I wanted Dunn Edwards Evershield sprayed on & backrolled, he agreed (both in person & via email). He sent two painters who are spraying only & not backrolling. I called the guy & he now says backrolling isn't necessary - it's overkill according to him. His painters are getting paint all over my sidewalk, patio & driveway, they sprayed over my Craftsman rubber hose - which is fine, as long as he cleans it up & replaces the hose which he has agreed to do. But the house has tons of "nooks and crannies" in the block that are showing through because the paint is only sprayed & there are even a few areas where the old color shows through! I have only paid the painter $120 thus far since I paid for the paint directly at the store. Can some other pro painters tell me, is spraying and backrolling what should be done, if you don't want to go to the expense of rolling only? What should I do about my situation? The painter is currently out of paint & to spray again would mean at least another 5 gallons of paint at $187/5 gallons. I know he is going to be very hesitant to re-spray & he certainly won't roll it. I don't want to be unreasonable in my request, but I also don't want to get stuck with a crappily painted house.

Is there a website that it's 100% safe and trusted that you can publish your own book, so that the website can send it to other famouse book sites like: amazon (amazonkindle etc…), barnes and noble, nook, ipad, iBook, and lots of other book sites to.

And that you get paid 100% when a person buys it.

What are some public places with metal detectors when you walk in building?

I'm trying to meet with my ex husband in a public place that would require to walk through a metal detector and be around lots of people. I was wondering if Libraries, Barnes&Nobles, or similar places have them installed. I'm trying to get some important papers from him (he also wants to talk to me in person) but don't feel safe by myself so I will have a friend with me. I first thought of a restaurant but would feel safer knowing he is not carrying a hand gun. He is a controlling, manipulative and abusive man. I don't know how he's going to react when we meet so wanted to be prepared and be ready for anything unexpected he might do or say. Sorry I went too long but really wanted to meet at a safe place and felt anywhere there is metal detectors an or security might be the best public place to meet.

Michigan Booklovers - awesome book stores?

I am a huge lover of books, both new and used. I want to go on a road trip to any and all amazing book stores in Michigan but am looking for suggestions of where some are. I'm not looking for the typical "Barnes and Noble" type. I love unique places, tons and tons of books, used and/or cheap books, etc. Is there a website that lists book stores in Michigan? Or better yet, do any of you have any personal suggestions? I'd greatly appreciate it!

How early should I apply for a summer job at Barnes & Noble?

I'm aiming to apply for a summer position at Barnes & Noble and was just wondering when it would be too early to apply for the job. I'm away at college at the moment, so that's why I'm hesitant to hand in an application right now but I don't want to be too late. Anyone know of any time frame that wouldn't get my application put in a file right away?

I was walking through Barnes and noble years ago and saw a book I think about high school students. A bad boy is being haunted by the popular girl/ cheerleader who had just died. I think the cover was them sitting on a bench and the ghost girl was floating or a little see through.
