How long does the Nook Simple Touch battery last?

I have a new Nook I've never used and I want to give it to a relative to take on a trip. How long will the battery last? If not as many as 12 days, then I need to buy her a plug, I think. Unless it won't work overseas, anyway.

Does anyone know how many hours it will last? Does turning the Nook off make the battery charge last longer (is it possible to turn the Nook off?)?

What Are The Best Books On Japanese Mythology?

I really want to know more about Japanese mythology, but I don't know where to look. Every book I've seen on their mythology either has only one star on Barnes And Noble, or only 32 pages, which can't possibly teach me anything. What are some good books I can get on Japanese mythology?

I want to get into comics. What should I start with?

I've always been a huge fan of DC tv shows and movies, and a slight fan of Marvel, but I'd love to read comics too to further my understanding. I've been meaning to read LOWW and I've read the brief-lived Young Justice, as well as about 5 individual Marvel comics purchased from Universal a while back. Other than that, nothing. My favorite stories are that of the Justice League and the minor characters on current DC shows, Deadpool, and the comic/show Young Justice. Please rec me any comics (prefer them to be mostly DC) that you think I should start with and I'd appreciate it if you could inform me where to get them as well. Thanks!
