Is this too much of a gift for my pen pal when we meet up for the very first time?

I need a girls perspective from someone who will be straight with me; hence why I'm coming to you again from past experiences lol. Anyways, I'm meeting up with my pen pal in Uzbekistan. Im from the united states and this will be the first time we have met. She's really into reading, so I thought I would buy her one of those nooks as a gift. There is no intentions for anything like that. I just wanted to be friendly and given the circumstances of how far we live and the fact that it will be one of those wow, we are here in person together when we actually meet, maybe it wouldn't be that big of a deal. In your opinion, is that an ok gift, or too much? I also got a concert on DVD of her favorite composer(its small) Like I said, its just buying a gift for a pen pal/friend of mine that I haven't met and nothing more. Don't want to weird her out, but at the same time I want to get her something nice… Thoughts? My friend said maybe some jewelry that symbolizes America, or maybe an American based sports team hat or Jersey.

Where can I find professional clothes for someone who is 5'1?

I tried Macy, Sears, Express, Burlington, Palis Royal, and so on. So I try to find my size and it's always the kid section. Okay fine! Problem is there is never a shirt that I can wear to a job. What am I supposed to do? Show up with a Spiderman T-Shirt on my first day? Well it's Barnes & Noble and I really want to make a great impression!

I keep setting off alarms to almost all the stores I go into at the mall?

I went to the mall today and almost every store I went into it set off a alarm expect for Barnes and nobles. This happened last month as well and I don't anything on me except money (not even a phone) I did get dental work done on my teeth however, is it possible that is the problem?

Has anyone worked at Barnes & Noble?

I am thinking about applying to my local Barnes and Noble. The only available position is a cafe/ barista worker. I was looking online, and I couldn't really find any information about the job. If you have worked there previously or have any information please answer the following questions: What kind of pay do they make (typically)? What is the uniform like? Is there an age minimum? Like, any good reads for people who are beginners to learn psychology? I'm not doing this because I want to be a psychologist; I am just doing this because I really want to learn more about this field of study.

It would be helpful if I could find this book at a library, or a store like Chapters in Canada or Barnes & Noble in the US.

Apocalyptic Story Title Ideas? Thanks?!

So I'm writing a story, and the main protagonists are a boy named Avery Banks and a girl named Hayden Florence. A horrible disease takes over the world's females only, much like Toxic Shock Syndrome, but once they have the symptoms of the disease, they only have minutes until they die. So Hayden is immune, along with less than one percent of the world's rapidly decreasing female population, and gets sent to an experimentation lab, breaks out, and finds Avery. Together, with a couple of side characters that will be introduced later in the story, they are on the run, trying to protect Hayden from the doctors and scientists from shock therapy, surgeries, and, finally, death, so they can donate her organs to researching the disease in hopes for a cure.

So, I thought it was a unique story line, and I was hoping for some title ideas for this story? I am totally stuck. Thanks for all of the answers!

How hard would it be to add tiny shelves to this nook?

I'm wanting to make little shelves to hold my nail polishes. The big problem is, they can't be permanent. I'm only renting this house and I'd need to be able to take them out when we leave. Thanks in advance for any advice!
