NOOK Color vs NOOK HD?

My mom has the NOOK color. Her birthday is coming up soon, and I've been saving up my allowance to buy her a 7" NOOK HD. What are the main differences between the two devices? She's been wanting a NOOK HD for a while now, because she likes watching videos and says that video on the NOOK color isn't very good. Also, will there be any additional charges besides tax? How many cichlids in 20 gallon tank?

I am new to cichlids. I have an empty 20 gallon cycled and filtered and heated tank. I have many hiding places so maybe some cichlids that go in and out of nooks and crannies. Also, what other fish are compatible?

Does barnes n noble buy used mangas & nimes?

Looking for opinions.or advice?

There is so much stress and depression circulating around my household. I won't go into detail because there's a lot of them. I'm the person everyone comes to with their problems, and everyone assumes I have none of my own. I can't help but feel like a burden, even though I know I shouldn't feel that way. But sometimes my parents do or say things that make me feel like I really am. I'm just so worn out. I feel older than I actually am. I know it may seem childish, but I really want to runaway. I am 18 with no car, or cash. I have a paid internship coming up with Vegas in a month or so. 400/week. I'm thinking of pawning a few things I don't really need (some jewelry and a nook hd) and buying a bus ticket. I've done research. Found a couple transitional shelters and contacted them. They'll provide me with somewhere to stay, food, clothes; y'know shelter stuff. Help me look for a job, housing, and provide finance classes. I'm young but I know how to take care of myself. I'm 'street smart' lol. I really just want to get away from everything and everyone and build something for myself. Y'know, some stability? I feel stuck here. I want to be able to take care of myself. And I know I can, there's just that little shred of doubt in the back of my mind. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that this can work. I don't want to be stuck in this place forever.

I think I can do it, I know my parents will come to understand and I will take your advice and keep in touch with my sister. She knows me best; I know she'll trust me, and know that I will be fine. :)

Something really freaky happened today-would you think this was coincidence?

Lately I've been studying religions out of curiosity. I mean everything--Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Wicca, Satanism, etc. I like to learn about all sorts of things.

Last night, I downloaded a Satanic bible on my Nook. I'm not going to name which one or the author because I don't want to get in any legal trouble (just being overly cautious).It was just another thing to read to further my studies about religion (I have no interest in worshiping the devil or anything like that, it was just more education).

Well I always read at night in my bedroom with the Nook and then turn it off and go to bed. Nothing was different about last night. But today when I woke up, I wanted to continue my reading, and I couldn't find my Nook.It wasn't in the bedroom for some reason. I had to search the whole house and finally I found it in my living room on an end table. This struck me as really odd because I don't ever read at night in my living room and certainly not in the chair next to that end table.It's an uncomfortable chair and there is no light over there.

I picked it up, thinking to myself how odd it was to find it there, and then I turned it on to continue reading the Satanic book. What happened next is what really scared me. Instead of opening up to the same page of the book I was reading (which Nooks do), when I turned it on, it was on a page of the Bible. I had a Bible downloaded onto the Nook as well, as I previously said that I like reading about all religions. I saw this and just kind of stood there with an uneasy feeling. I was not reading the Bible before bed last night and there would be no reason for it to open to that when I turned the Nook on. When I stopped reading last night, I turned the thing off WHILE IT WAS ON A PAGE of the Satanic book I was reading, NOT on a page of the Bible.

So, in short, I was reading in my bedroom last night, turned the Nook off while it was on a page of this Satanic bible, and woke up to find it in a different room and on a page of the Bible.

This has me a little freaked! Unless I sleepwalk, it was not me that did this. I do live with a roommate, but he is Wiccan and calls the Bible "Fiction." He would not have gone into my room, taken my Nook (he didn't even know I was reading anything Satanic) and opened it to a Bible. He doesn't even like Christianity.

I should mention that I am currently not a Christian myself.

Would you think this was just a weird coincidence or would you take it as a hint that you need to stop this kind of reading? I've never had anything like this happen to me before and quite frankly it has me really weirded out right now.

By the way, I know some atheists or agnostics are going to say I made this up and that is fine. I'm not worried about some of you not believing this, but I'm only concerned with the answers from people that don't think I'm making this up (since obviously the other ones won't be useful to me).

What should I ask for for my 8th grade graduation?

Before you say I'm greedy or something, everyone in my family has had an 8th grade graduation party.
Anyway, my relatives are asking me what I want. I keep saying clothes, but I don't want a heap of clothing.
I already have a phone, an Ipod type thing, a computer, and everything else a 13 year old going into high school would ask for. Not to mention my pets, so I don't need anymore of those (3 dogs, a hamster, and a tortoise). I also am not allowed to wear makeup, so I can't ask for that.
I like books, so I think I can ask for gift cards to Barnes and Noble. The thing is a have a lot of relatives (around 7+ aunts and 6+ uncles, all my cousins, my three brothers and their girlfriends/wives, my sister, and my parents) and i'm sure they are getting me stuff. I just don't know what to ask for, I seem to have what I need…
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance. :)

Woodworking Plans: Restaurant Booth?

I am thinking of building a 3/4 corner booth for my kitchen nook. I tried searching online for used restaurant furniture suppliers and have had no luck. I have also been trying to find some woodworking plans on how to build an upholstered restaurant booth but I have been unsuccessful in my research.

Does anyone have any experience in building this type of furniture and/or have access to any woodworking plans? Or does anyone know of a decently priced website where I could purchase such furniture?
