ITINERARY---Buffalo Canyon Poetry Convention---Central Ohio
(day two)
8:00---Entire group meets in Dave's bathroom to help him wash various nooks and crannies.
8:45---Group returns to their private quarters, where each may spend up to ten minutes sitting on the end of their beds in the dark, trembling.
9:30---Breakfast: oatmeal, dry toast. Drink: prune juice or 6 oz.weak coffee.
9:45—Horseback Riding. For those electing to avoid the horses altogether, "Wallace and Gromit---The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" will be featured in the rec-room. Movie starts at ten a.m. sharp.
12:00 Noon---All poets converge on barn and help euthanize Dave's mare.
12:30---Free Time---this time will most likely be used for parlor games and for ridiculing Cheesy's severely sloping forehead… Some will elect to bounce peanuts and other sundries off a deerskin lampshade into Dave's open maw.
1:30---Those who DIDN'T go horseback-riding have to muck-out the stalls… Everyone else congregates in the adjacent building where Happy will demonstrate the Quaker method of milking a cow (bucket-less). (no cameras or cell phones allowed, sorry.)
2:00---Lunch: Sloppy-Joes, a handful of soggy Fritos. Drink: a plastic tumbler of warm Dr. Pepper
2:30---Back-to back episodes of "Maude" on LIFETIME CHANNEL(((Conference Room A---mandatory)
3:30---Pin the tail on the Gio. (Prizes awarded!)
4:15---Free Time---This is where the poets work up an appetite before dinner playing table-tennis, horseshoes, taunting the Amish, or volleyball.
6:00---Dinner: Whatever diseased animal the Amish sold Kathy that morning while she was out shopping for a new hat.
7:30---Evening Workshop: Guests can either attend Lizzy's power-point presentation on the Canadian Beaver and other small aquatic rodents we should care deeply about (Conference Room B), or, out on the veranda, Kathy has graciously agreed to speak for an hour about her new hat.
8:30---Group Meeting—Rec. Room. Here's where the group takes thirty minutes to prod and discuss Dave's cyst. (alcohol will be served to those attending.)
9:00 to 3:00---Open Bar—(all members)
