Mice in apartment and landlord won't help?

I moved into my unit in May.the homeowner has essentially taken one section of her house and nailed/painted over doors to make it 2 units. A separate house is built in the backyard that is the owners. I took the unit immediately because it is nearly impossible to find a landlord that accepts large dogs where I live and for all intents and purposes it appeared fine during my walk through. After moving in, I noticed there was some sort of yellow substance that was sprayed in ceiling corners and other nooks, and that there was a HUGE ant problem. After just a few weeks of me living here the landlord told me they were tenting the place and I had to stay at a hotel for 2 days. They told me where I HAD to stay so that they would foot the bill. The entire process of repacking my belongings after just moving in was a pain but I went on with it, when I moved back in. Just 3 days later I noticed a small mouse in the sink. It's the first mouse I've ever seen in my life and it scared me half to death. I wrote the landlord, and he said the owners brother (who lives in the house behind me) would come patch the hole…but it's not a hole, the mouse came out of a huge spacial gap between the kitchen counter and the wall (it doesn't butt up to the wall like most counters do). I didn't have the brother do anything because I didn't see how he could possibly patch up an entire gap and due to work I was rarely free. About 2 months later we noticed a mouse run out from the kitchen…and to make a long story short the frequency of seeing the mouse grew over time. We asked the landlord to hire an exterminator, he said we should try traps first. We bought about 5 different kinds…and nothing was working until a few weeks ago, we finally caught 2 mice in spring traps and 1 on a glue trap, now the mice are gnawing through the wood in our ceilings and they've even made a small hole in one part of the ceiling. I asked the landlord to contact the tenting company to come back…they just keep offering up the owners brother, but I feel like this infestation requires professional help.

We have 2 months left on our lease and I feel trapped because I either have to pay for the exterminator on my own or suffer with being awaken everynight to gnawing sounds that have now moved to our bedroom. Every piece of food we own is locked in our fridge and our dogs food is in an airtight plastic dog container. I have friends that are wanting to stay with us next month and can't think about watching tv and seeing one of these disgusting creatures running up and down the walls…or waking them up from the loud noises. I wish my landlord would be understanding but he just refers me to the owner and the (elderly) owner refers me to her handyman brother who is a nice guy… But not a professional. I would just hire the exterminator and send the LL my bill to deduct from rent, but even when he had me stay in the exact hotel they designated me to stay at during the tenting, they requested multiple copies of my receipt over the course of 3 months to make sure it really did cost what it cost- which insulted me because I shouldn't have to wait for reimbursement. I stayed in that shoddy hotel hauling all of my possessions and my dog with no frills…and the electricity went out during my stay so the whole process was a huge inconvenience for me, and on top of that you're going to vett me for staying in the one and only place you said I could stay in. I feel like we're in the money pit, I don't want to break my lease because I was a homeowner who rented out property myself and I pride myself on my credit score and my word, but I shouldn't have to live like this… I want to know if this unit is safe, my dog developed an allergy after living here that I've had to treat with expensive vet bills, and I developed allergy symptoms/rash on my stomach, throat itching and swelling after moving in too, but my symptoms dissipated, once I repainted the unit. I'm wondering if there's some sort of inspection I can have done?

What's your opinion of e-readers? Kindle or nook?

My mom has an iPad 2 from work that she uses to play games with the kids she works with (they're special needs) and at home occasionally. My dad wants to get her an e-reader for their 30th anniversary but we don't know much about them. She loves to read and I was wondering if a kindle fire, paperwhite, or nook would be beneficial. I heard that they're easier to read on than an iPad. What's your opinion/experience with them? What do you think is the best e-reader and would it be good to get one if she already has the iPad? Any specs or info you could give about them would be great! Can you use them for anything besides reading? I just wanna know what they do lol thank you:)

How is working in barnes and noble?

I'm 16 and I am starting to look for (my first) job. I was just wondering what it was like before I went and filled out a application. Some of my questions are: does it have flexible hours? What is the uniform? What is easy/challenging about working there? I love reading, is it important that I know about each genre of books? What are some of your opinions about your experience working there?

Is the Disney Jr Appisodes app available on the Android market?

We are looking to buy a tablet for our kids to play their games on instead of our cell phones. One of their favorites is the Disney Junior Appisodes app (I have an iPhone) and I know that you can get the Appisodes app on any apple product (but I don't really feel like paying for an iPad) so I was wondering if the Disney Jr Appisodes app was available on anything with an android so I could get something like a Kindle, Samsung or Nook.

Best e-ink ereader in 2014?

What is the best ereader for someone who likes to borrow books from the library, read manga and read at night. I am invested in Amazon's market but only by like 25 or so books and I can convert them so ecosystem really isn't an issue. I was thinking the nook glowlilght but the light isn't very even and it won't be updated from what I heard. And the kindle has drm that allows amazon to take books from you but I really don't care. Honestly I was looking at kobo but their price and customer service made me think otherwise. I have a kindle keyboard and the paperwhite seems like a downgrade in some ways being the speakers, headphone jack are gone for audiobooks which were useful for school, the 3g can't be used on the web browser.

Dream interpretation please?

Last night I had a very strange dream where my oldest son and I were on a sandy beach with snake skins all over the place. We walked up to what we thought was an abandoned house it appeared abandoned from the outside and inside as we walked through the home we noticed snake skin everywhere in every nook and cranny. After we spent some time exploring the abandoned home we heard noise and realized others had come into the home this raised panic so we went to see who was there and as we did the once abandoned home became alive as in everything in it seeming turned new like the paint on the walls the furniture. We approached the new arrivals and realized they were very upset that we were in there home they got on the phone and started taking steps to get us out but for some reason we just would leave maybe because we didn't want to be around all the dead skin outside. Anyone who can figure out an interpretation to this dream by all means please. Thank you for your time:)

Marshall Mathers LP2 or The Walking Dead Compendium?

For a reward, my parents have said that they would allow me to buy something. I have thought of it, I have had to decide on either the Marshall Mathers LP2 or The walking Dead Compendium. I am unsure which one I should get for I can only get one. If I were to get the album, it is only $12 on iTunes while the compendium is $35 (I have a five dollar gift card for Barnes and Noble) One of the biggest reasons i can't decide is that I have WORKED MY BUTTOCKS off in the past few weeks. I have gotten A's on all three of my tests that i received all on the same week and I even got 5 A's and one B on my report card. (The B was in PE if you were curious.) So I feel that if i got a $12 compensation I would not really feel rewarded. (I REALLY don't mean to sound spoiled right now.) So in the end, I have to pick between a cheaper reward that will last for a little while but i can play over and over again or I can pick the more expensive option that will be able to be read over and over again but will take a while to get through and will supply me over a longer peirod of time. Tell me what you guys think:)

Ok so I have a nook from Barnes and noble. And for me to buy or download anything you have to add a credit card. So I found one from a credit card generator. I put it in and it worked. I didn't think it was and I just wanted to try it. I don't know what to do! I haven't bought anything or downloaded anything. Can I get arrested for this? Help please!

I think it's a ethical word or a scientific word.

I usually write this stuff down in my "Book Lover's Journal" which I highly recommend and you could get it at Barnes and Noble. Maybe other places.

Some say it's cheap, some don't. Depends on your budget.

Shows how much reading I do.

Anyway, I'm wondering what page he mentions that word.
I said in the journal, "R mentions the word id" which I find fascinating, but stupid me, i forget to write down what page.
