Best nook book for slight weight loss (8 lbs) and inches off waist?

I'm not obese (5'1 and 101 lbs) but I want to lose 8 lbs and also I have a little bit of excess stomach and waist fat but only and inch or two. Do I need a credit card to use Nook HD+ or is it just for buying ebooks from nook store?

If i'm not going to use the NOOK HD+ for buying ebooks from the nook store, do I still need provide my credit card information. I will be getting my ebooks from my public library.

What amount of storage space should I get on an e-reader?

I decided that I am going to purchase a Nook Tablet. The model that I am looking at comes in 8GB and 16GB with a $20 difference. I'm not really sure which one to get. The main thing I plan to use it for is reading, with a few games and internet surfing. I don't see myself using it to watch movies or anything like that. With the sale, my membership discount and the gift cards I have, the 8GB will cost me $37.21 and the 16GB will be $56.29 (including tax). I would hate to waste the extra $20 if I'm not going to use the space and I still need to buy the case and screen protector.

What do you think?

Best book that's available on nook to lose weight?

I weigh about 100( sometimes one or two pounds more) and am 5'1. I want to lose 10 lbs and lose the only two inches of flub around my stomach and waist. What book has worked for you guys to get a small and toned waist and lose minimal weight? If this matters in in my early teens and a girl so I just want lean muscle, not a six pack or anything. I was just violated. The thing was on my Nook. I threw the Nook (bad choice). The thing ran away and I can't find it anywhere. I can't sleep until I kill it. I'M DEATHLY AFRAID OF EARWIGS.

If it was more afraid of me it would have stayed away!

Ordered books from barnes and noble site scared?

So i bought 3 books for $30 and it said everything was good and then gave my order number and said a confirmation email would be sent with my order number.
I have not got a email so im kind of worried. I just placed the order yesterday so not really sure if i should start worrying yet i signed in as a guest so i cant access it threw my account.

should i be worried or is it normal for the email not to send

How does the Barnes & Noble Criterion Collection Sale work?

Next week their sale begins and I want to pick up a few Blu-ray titles, but I want to know how to get them at the cheapest possible price. They are 50% off, but B&N prices most of them at $40. I read on somewhere that if I have a membership, which gets you 10% off any item, it can also apply for a total of 60%. But someone said that when purchasing at B&N they take 50% off one movie first, making it $20, then they take 10% off of that making it $18 instead of taking 60% off of $40 which would make it $16 a piece. $18 is ok, but is there any other ways to get it lower, like coupons or buying online??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Fleas, what am I doing wrong?

We moved into a house that has fleas, unfortunately we didn't find out until my cat already caught them! So we treated our cat with a spot on treatment from her vet (I forget the name) when I still found fleas on her a few days later I treated her again with frontline.

There is obviously a problem with the environment so we also treated the house:
I vacuum every day or every other day (including all carpets, non carpeted floors, nooks and crannys, upholstery, mattresses)
I mop non carpeted floors
I washed all our linens, bedding, towels, clothes on a 60 wash
I have spent a small fortune on flea products, including powders, sprays, collars and bombs
I threw out my cats blanket
I keep a flea collar in the vacuum and dispose of the bag outside the house
I used a flea collar on my cat for a week but it irritated her so much (bald patches) that we had to take it off

After we first bombed the house (all carpeted rooms) we saw no fleas for a week, we saw them again and bombed again. Our house has been bombed 2 consecutive weekends. Today I found another flea on my cat, and a bite on my leg, just 4 days after bombing.

I flea comb her everyday but I assume sometimes I miss some.

Anyway, I'm hoping I can get some advice or at least commiseration on my situation! I am so tired of the excessive cleaning, my poor cat isn't allowed in our bedroom (or most rooms even) anymore.

I understand that the protective cocoons could be hatching, but shouldn't they just die once they are in the treated areas? My carpeted rooms have all been bombed twice!!!

It's so hard when you have no way of knowing that they are dying, I mean I check my cat everyday but I could be missing them. I suppose if it was a bigger infestation I would see more? Or if it wasn't working I would see more?

Someone please tell me I'm doing the right stuff and it just takes time and share your stories of how longi it took you!

Another thing to add, my cat is indoor only, so she isn't bringing them in from outside!

So, I've been hearing a lot of talk of B&N going out of business, and I am going to buy
a Nook HD+ pretty soon.So if they go out if business, then what happens to the Nook? Will it still be able to download things? And be… well… the same thing? Because I did hear if B&N goes out of business, then like… the google play store keeps it running and whatever. I just want to know will my nook be the same when B&N goes out of business? First job; Is calling for job opportunities good? I don't have a resume?

So I'm looking for a summer Job still, and I want to call in to ask if they have any of the places I'm applying at has job openings. However, I've read online that it's not professional to call for a job opening, and that I should go in well-dressed and ask for the manager to turn in a resume. Thing is, I don't have a resume, considering this is my first job. Should I go ahead and call, or have my mother drive me to the places I'm applying tomorrow?
I'm going for Little Caesars, Carpool Car wash, Hardees, or Barnes and Nobles.

Will I be able to get into College, and get a scholarship?

Hi!
On my first try I got a 1730 on my SAT, I plan on taking it again in October. I also have a 3.3 out of 4.0 GPA. I would really love a few tips on how to raise my SAT score (it's a bit too late to raise my GPA by much), I also really need to know if there is any possible way I can get a scholarship.
I know my score right now will get me into the college I want, BUT I absolutely NEED a scholarship!
I want to apply to UWF, but it's a bit out of my price range for out of state. I hope to study maritime archaeology, or maritime law. I've looked up scholarships and applied to a few but no luck.
So I'm hoping to increase my score of about 300 points.
My math was 560, reading 630, and my writing was 540.
I have a ton of extra curriculars and some other stuff here

The question is a bit stupid, but please read this, you'll understand.

So, I'm flying abroad with a couple of friends in about a week, and all my friends said to bring a book because they're all going to be reading onboard. All the current books are either in my library or on my iPad.

I have read all of the books on my library, and I don't want to take my iPad to another country, I want to keep it at home.

Therefore, I ordered the Harry Potter series (If anyones looking to buy it, buy the series from "Barnes and Nobles" because they are the cheapest), and it said it usually ships in 24 hours. I'm living in the UK, and I think it' being shipped from America. How long will it take until it arrives?

How to entertain yourself on a road trip?

Im going to an amusement park out of state and the road trip will be about five to seven hours.Im wandering wander or not I should get a 3ds to play it during the car trip and I would like to play games like resident evil and some other games. I have an ipod touch, dsi portable dvd player and possibly a nook. I enjoy playing fps games and fighting games along with racing games. Should I use pen or pencil?

Well, I'm going to start writing in a diary partly for the sake of getting out my feelings and emotions and partly because I spend a lot of time with old people and they don't remember a lot of stuff (except for this one lady..she remembers when her father used to have the kids gather around and play the Jew's Harp for them) thought it would be cool to have a journal of my life in case I ever get confused and people want to know what my life was like (I'm probably wrong that they would but might as well, right?) So which do you think is better? Pen or pencil? Which will stand the test of that amount of time? My journal is a leather journal from Barnes and Noble if that makes any difference. FLEAS! Very small budget with 4 animals and have a serious Flea and flea egg problem?

I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I know, don't judge:( the cats were rescues. Now, we have a BAD flea problem. Here in north Texas we didn't get our usual freeze over the winter so the pests are out of control, especially the fleas. Our latest rescue cat is an inside/outside cat so we bathed her with the cat flea shampoo (we had to) she had a ridiculous amount of fleas right on her face, so disgusting. Then we got little collars for all of them, used the flea oil over the counter on them all and bathed the dogs with flea shampoo as well. We sprayed the carpet where the animals tend to lay with bed bug/flea/lice spray. And today as I'm cleaning my kitchen my inside/outside cat gets up from the spot she was laying, on our breakfast nook (only decorative, we do not eat there) and I see what looks like salt, but a touch more yellow and resembles tiny grains of rice, and black granules mixed in… We don't use the salt and pepper anywhere near this table, so I freak out! I look online and see that they are flea eggs, 2 different stages of a flea egg!!! And she's just dropping hundreds of them anywhere she sits or lays!!! This is going to get serious!!! I've been bitten a few times too and I'm freaking the EFF out if u couldn't tell by this novel I'm posting. Luckily were leaving tonight for vacation for a week, all animals will be with a sitter too. What can I do? Bombs? Ten bombs! I don't have much money but I feel like were all going to get sick with worms or something! My dog already seems to not be feeling well. Could this cause health problems for my animals and I??? If you have the patience to read this and I hope someone does, without being ugly( Cuz I know some people are on here to only say hateful things) please help:( thanks in advance

Why should I buy a Nook/Kindle?

So, I'm 13 years old, and have been getting into reading a lot more. I LOVE apocalypse books. I just want to know what does a Nook/Kindle Fire HD do that my Iphone 4 can't? Difference between Programming Textbooks and Books?

I am always wondering the difference between programming textbooks that are used in school and books that can be found easily in all bookstore. For example, you won't always see Tony Gaddis' books in bookstores like Barnes & Noble, but the other books can be easily found such as Sams teach yourself series, wrox programming books, and apress programming books. I lost my wacom tablet?

I looked EVERYWHERE the past few days, and no luck. (Even in nooks and crannys I couldn't even find it) I've checked all my art bags and backpacks, and every other room (including our basement). Before I give up, are there any tips on how I could possibly track it down? (Btw it can't be at anyone else's house because I need to install the software to a computer before it works, even though I requested relatives to take a glance around their homes for it).

What are your thoughts on Second Person Point of View?

Hi, I'm Celina and I'm a teen novelist. I'm currently working on a novel and I've recently run into a block. Not writer's block mind you but a back track on how I'm writing. More specifically, the point of view I'm writing in. I'm writing in second person point of view thus meaning I use you, your, and you're. Recently today, I picked up a book from Barnes and Noble to help with my writing do to the fact of me being young and, once I get this book done, hopefully get it published. But in the book, he mentions second person point of view and says it's a bad decision. He even says that I'll be seen as a Jay McInerney want to be because of Jay's book Bright Lights, Big City, a book I haven't even heard of. I read just a little synopsis online of it online and it doesn't even seem remotely close to my story. I just want to hear everyone's thoughts because this really has me sad. I want this novel to go places, instead of just hitting a garbage bin.

Should I buy a Nexus 7 or Nook HD?

I just don't know which to buy. On the one hand, Nook HD is currently on sale by quite a bit more. On the other hand, Nexus 7 is so much more tied into the Android stuff without stuff laid over it, and, while B&N seem to be stepping away from their hardware, Google is supposed to be announcing the next Nexus-es this coming month or so. Argh, I just don't know…

(I just wish that the Nexus had an SD card slot)

Should I Be Worried My Daughter?

My daughter is sixteen and she works at Barnes and Noble and as a babysitter, but she spends all of her money on books and things like that. She puts about fifty percent of her paycheck into a savings account and blows the rest on stupid stuff.In January,
I think it was, she went to Carnegie Hall for some convention. I had hoped that she was going with her friends, because she NEVER goes out with her friends or does anything that teenage girls should do. I let her go because I hoped she might come out of her shell. She didn't. She came back with some blabber about the Greg brothers or something.It's really frustrating that she won't act like a normal teenage girl.
And yesterday I walked into her room which I usually don't do because girls need their privacy, but I walked in to drop some stuff off from her grandma and it was covered with weird stuff. There were posters of llamas and quotes and the Hunger Games and Harry Potter. She has a little blue alarm clock that's shaped like an old telephone booth. There's a cardboard cutout of a man wearing a pinstriped suit and another of a man wearing a tweed jacket. Her blanket was the periodic table, and so was her pillowcase. She has a plack on her wall that says raven claw. I saw some Star Trek and Wars stuff in there too. And it was really worrying to me that there was a poster that included a very muscular man wearing a blond wig and a pink dress and lots of makeup and another guy wearing nothing but tights and a little stuffed horse on his butt. She has weird bobble heads and this creepy talking robot that talks about exterminating things. Theres two whole walls made of bookshelves. I don't know what any of this stuff is. Should I take it away from her? Can anyone explain this stuff to me? Please explain what all these things in her room are. And does anyone know what happened at Carnegie hall in January? PLEASE HELP WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY DAUGHTER!

Blu Ray discs, how long will they reign?

I bought 5 Blu Ray (1080p HD) movies from Best Buy all on sale for a reasonable price. I'm a pretty big film collector I have a large collection of VHS and DVDs and I'm recently collecting Blu Ray movies since I finally bought an flatscreen HDTV.My friend criticized me saying I'm "wasting my money" and "blu rays are gonna die" soon and i should wait for the next big thing… well i already know there's going to be something newer coming along eventually but it's not anytime soon is it? I mean look at this:

VHS: 1977 - 2008 (31 years)
DVD: 1996 - Current (15 Years so far)
BLU - RAY: 2006 - Current ( 5 years so far)

(^ I found that somewhere else)

I mean I personally think that Blu Rays are and will continue to be popular and manufactured for at least another decade or two, no?

and lastly I don't believe I'm wasting my money because I'm a savvy shopper and I refuse to buy, for example, Titanic at Barnes and Noble for $44, when I can drive an extra 5 minutes to the Best Buy and get the same exact thing for $14 (I actually bought it for that much on Black Friday). And I regularly watch all my movies since I don't have cable (I have netflix..I mean come on- $14 vs. $110?).

So what do you think? Am I okay with my Blu Rays or is it really going to be obsolete already?

I have an original Nook that my mom gave me when she upgraded, but I've never used it. I'm not too sure which version it is. I also have an extended battery compatible with an HTC Droid Incredible 4G(The phone itself is cracked, so I won't bother trying to sell it as a whole). I also have an original HTC Droid Incredible in perfect condition, just minor signs of use, No cracks or dents or anything like that. I'm hoping to make $150 from all these combined. I'm sure that is near impossible, but I'd like to get at least $100. I need cash upfront in person, in store. I don't really like dealing with Ebay or anything online like that(bad experiences).
