What would be considered damage to a collectors book?

I am a big fan of Zelda and had Hyrule Historia pre-ordered since August. Well when I finally got it in the mail (a day late) it's corners were bent and squeezed, so I went over to Barnes and Nobles I exchanged. I didn't notice until I got home that the 'D' in Zelda's paint was chipped off the tiniest bit (a little silver instead of gold).So I exchanged that one (still in plastic wrap) for a new one. The man gave me one that someone pre-order, but didn't pick up yet. I got the new one and it was fine.So now that person's book has a small chip in the 'D' and I feel like I did the wrong thing. Would you consider this damage because now I feel really bad. Thank you.

What are some places to work that arent high energy?

I'm 17 and have been working in fast food. I'm on the verge of being fired, and if I don't I'm going to quit within a month anyway.It's too fast paced for me and I'm pretty slow and scatter brained.

I want to work somewhere calm or neutral like a bookstore or a clothing store. I'm looking more at a book store, and honestly don't know of any close clothing stores. The only bookstores I know of around here is Barnes and noble and half price books, are there any other book store chains I don't know of? Also, what's other slow paced//calm environment places to work.

I got offered a job at my local TCF bank which I'm going to take in the summer when I have my GED because it's not a high energy job. But until then, I need some income, I can't afford to not to be working (I help my parents pay bills, and have to buy my own necessary items for living)

I am playing the Dawnguard quest and am on the part where you have to fill an ewer five times. I have explored every nook and cranny 3 times over now (re-walking it twice after the first pass and removing all the Falmer) and have somehow missed one of the places. Any advice or is there a trick to finding the last one? I have come to the place where Auriel's Bow is but can't finish since I have only visited 4 of the 5 sites. How to safely introduce a puppy and a kitten?

Well, this summer coming my mum and I are moving house. Although my mum has always loved cats, she always used to say that there 'wasn't enough room for a second pet'. Now, however, the house we are moving to is big enough for 10 cats! (nyahaha) - so I've told her we're getting a kitten, which she knew was coming.

Now, by the time we move in the summer, our little puppy will be a year and a half old, so in that little nook between "puppy" and "Dog". He is well behaved in the sense that when you say "sit", he will sit, and when you say "Leave", he will leave stuff alone. Unfortunately, he's like a child in a candy store, and gets excited by everything! (he once played with a crunchy leaf in the garden for almost an hour). He's a very rough-and-tumble kind of dog and loves to physically play. He's not aggressive in any way but is VERY nosy, and has to be in the centre of everything! He has met cats before (when out walking), and he always approaches them on his belly. He even bonked one on the head once with his paw (which earned him a hiss).

Like I said, he is not aggressive in anyway, just very hyperactive and very full on. He's the type of dog that when you first meet he runs up to you like Dug from Up and is like "Will you be my friend? ^_^"

The house IS big enough that they can stay out of each other's way, and we have (in the past when I was a lot younger) had dogs and cats together (we even had a blind cat that was boss of the two dogs), but I just want to know a way that I can safely and calmly introduce the new kitten into the home without fear of the puppy. I need a way that the two will either get along fine, or be impassive to one another.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to do this?

Oh, yes, I intend to introduce them slowly to one another. I don't want to upset the kitten and agitate the puppy in any way shape or form. I want the two of them to eventually become comfortable around one another, and I don't mind if it takes a long time for this to happen - I will stay with them for as long as is necessary :)

How hard is it to restain a door?

The front door (main entry door) that I have is white and has been painted white probably a few years ago when the entire house had a white paint job. The door itself and the design looks good and the I like the windows but I dont like a white door. How hard would it be to strip the white and to have a dark wood stain look, something like mahogany?

This is what I am planning: Take door off hinges. Sand down with a sander until I hit wood. Get some good brand stain and apply evenly and rub with towel or rag.Do one side and let it cure.Do the other side. Then finish with some kind of weather protectant sealant or clear coat. I am not sure if this is a feasible task there are some small nooks and crannies where the window designs are (wood framing) but it's not TOO small that a little elbow grease can get into.Is it possible to change a painted white door to a wooden stained look?

Does dimming the brightness on your phone actually save battery?

I have always kept my phone on dim setting because my phone has crappy battery life, and its seems to last longer sometimes, but shorter other. With my Nook, its the same, but I also make the book pages where the words are white and the pages are dark gray, hoping thatll help. With my laptop, there actually is a setting called "Battery Saving" that dims the brightness. I know it works on my laptop, but does it actually save my battery on my phone and nook?
