I have some books that I bought at barnes and nobles, and i would like to take them there and sell them.they are in good condition, but i don't have the receipts, can i do this?

How to I clean my auto-tea maker?

I use an automatic tea maker whenever I want to make a few gallons [very rarely] and I forgot about it for over 1 year. I cleaned it for 2 hours alternating baking soda and vinegar, soap and warm water, and just regular water. Even after I let the baking soda and vinegar soak for about 15 minutes, it barely left a dent in the horrible stench of year old tea leaves that were hiding in the corners. I think that I finally removed all of the leaves, but the tea and water and leaves the tea maker still tastes like sh! t and smells DISGUSTING. Also, I can't take out the water reservoir without completely taking apart the tea maker and even if I could I wouldn't be able to clean all of the nooks and crannies with my hands and a sponge.
So, once again, how am I supposed to clean this and remove the stench?

How to hang out in Barnes and Noble?

Every time I see people in Barnes and Noble they are just sitting there reading or drinking coffee or something. I wanted to know what the store policy was. Can you just go there and sit on a chair and read a book without purchasing anything?

I have to write a paper and I figure going there to study with my laptop would be a good change of atmosphere. I was going to bring my 8 year old with me.

How do bookstores like Barnes and Noble prevent theft? I went there yesterday to get prep books for ACT and AP tests and they don't have any sort of security tags on them. The barcode isn't a security tag, so how do they detect if something unpaid for goes through the security door?

I have the Nook Simple Touch. There are 2 screensavers on it:

#1.} Nature ~ It's o… k…
#2.} Authors ~ This one is better. Great shots of some authors, but it gets old seeing them all the time

I would REALLY like to get some more sets of screensavers, but I don't know how. I saw a set that looks cool: "The Faces of Doctor Who"! I want this one!

The sun hovered above as vultures feasted on the rotting flesh. The smell of dead carcass was pervasive, filling every nook and cranny of the ranch resort. Luscious giant oak trees stood tall, a contrast to the grim atmosphere that had eclipsed the resort.An eerie silence took shelter in the once bustling and lively mountainous resort, surpassed only by jets and airplanes shooting past in the sky. The ants were having a field day, claiming skin and tissue, plucking at flesh and devouring every morsel to the bone. Few wildlife could bear the stomach churning, repulsive scent of ten thousand people strewn across miles of barren land. Yet the ones that did were inferior, chased away by the vultures in the thousands. Once a ranch resort, it now seemed as if the scourge of battle had paid a visit to Death Valley. A wasted battlefield cannot even begin to describe the gore and barbarianism present. Ironic that none saw it coming, even to the last minute. Just an eerie silence was present, and the occasional squawking from the thousands of carnivorous birds, a claim to a territory once inhabited by the human race.

I have a list of stores that i am doing for a college essay/debate on equal marriage rights. I can't find anything on Barnes and Noble, does anyone know what their conclusion is?

EBay buyer asking for serial number?

I'm currently selling a nook hd on ebay and someone messaged me about wanting the serial number to check its authenticity. They said they would be willing to buy it once they received the serial number but I was wondering would it be okay to give it to them?

Amazon canceling an order/ return?

Hello, Im young and I don't have alot of money but when my mom surprized me with a nook HD+ I was so happy and wanted to get an N2A card to optimize it. However, she told me it was a nook tablet and stupid me didnt do my research so I bought a 60$ N2A card for the wrong device. I cant tell my mom cause she'll kill me and now Im scared my order wont be canceled. I put in 2 cancellation requests but it still shows up on my orders. I know this might take time but I'm scared because I paid with a debit card and I dont know how im going to get my money back. What should I do?

Having Problems with Youtube on Nook?

I use mainly my nook tablet to watch videos on youtube but just recently every time I press play it does not go to full screen as it normally does and it keeps on doing the circular motion of loading which it has never done before and i cannot watch any videos. Does anyone know how to fix this? My internet and wifi is fine.

Which is obviously true. Scientists cant see every nook and cranny of existence

Is there any abstract quality we could expect some not-yet-discovered existng thing to have? Some quality that would help to understand why scientists havent observed it yet?

Im thinking that some thing that scientists havent discovered is maybe very small… or very far away… or elusive somehow because it produces no trace in any gravitational, electrical, etc field. Everything we know about is based on what makes particles move around basically… Everytihng that happens in reality seems to be motion of particles on some fundamental level, right? if something hasnt yet been detected by science, then it seems reasonable that it doesnt make particles around us move very much, or very often… is that fair?

How to improve my poem?

For some reason I feel uncertain with this poem. I know the syllable count doesn't match eight the whole way through, but I feel like it works out best as far as conveying the meaning goes. Basically, in a story I'm writing this is the tale of a strange, distant desert. If anyone has honest critique to offer (I'm not here to get things sugar-coated) I would greatly appreciated it. Thanks for your time :)

When stars shone bright upon the land
there stood a city in the sand,
Aranahan, pale as the moon,
her silver flags in breeze did swoon.

The ivory walls carved by the wind
to heaven's summit did ascend;
a jewel upon the desert's crown
far under earth descended down.

Her towers mirrored the dunes and sky;
ablaze they were when eve drew nigh,
the setting sun through diamonds broke,
shinning like celestial cloak.

Great mirth rang free from every hall
and song poured down from towers tall,
Aranahan, the city fair,
perpetual, glistened in the air.

Her name was known from shore to shore,
recalled of in the ancient lore,
her name, a marvel on the earth
was whispered of above cold hearth.

Treasure she was to mortal eye,
a gemstone fallen from the sky,
ethereal song rang within
her curling stair and sprawling bend.

And deeper down lie shelves of books,
piled in mountains, crammed in nooks,
a sea of knowledge for the mind
below the desert once did wind.

Prosperity her land once saw,
for still unknown, her fatal flaw,
kept open gates to mortal spawn,
so waned the hours of the dawn.

The kings of men held high their heads
despite their shoulders weighed with dreads,
they sought the castle of the dune,
a dark shape in the dying moon.

Their griefs they placed before the Queen,
diversions for their evil mean,
while the kings' eyes begged for pity,
lusted they the crystal city.

Their hearts felt no more than a jewel,
they thought the Queen a gold-crowned fool,
a greedy fire in their eyes,
they robbed the treasure of the skies.

Upon their stolen steads they fled,
their hearts held joy, but also dread,
Aranahan watched from afar,
decreasing as a distant star.

Each king put on a wicked grin,
confident in their sullen sin,
but as they left dust in their wake
the ground beneath began to quake.

The sand dunes shifted brought to life,
grains hissing like wheat field to scythe,
a chasm opened to the void,
the kings were swallowed and destroyed.

The land bore no scar of their deaths,
the sands sealed with their final breaths,
Aranahan, the city fair,
perpetual, rose unto the air.

A flame of silver light she left,
sorrowing in the three kings' theft,
a sapphire lit in lightless sky
let lose her other-worldly sigh.

Alas her light was beyond reach,
her presence mortals did beseech,
but soon her name did pass away
and fade unto archaic day.

Only the sands recall her name
and lament at her fading fame,
Aranahan, amongst the stars,
if only she still could be ours.

I just bought a Nook Tablet. I was barely able to register because it wouldnt stay connected to the internet very long. I downloaded the 1.4.1 update but every time I try to connect now it says connected but no internet and wifi error code 105.

USPS tracking problem? am i just being paranoid?

Well I ordered a package Monday and officially it shipped on Wednesday. Well it was shipped with DHL who said my package had been tendered to USPS in Hebron, Kentucky on the 21rst. But when it gave me the link for USPS tracking there have been no updates since the 20th. I got concerned and talked to two customer service agents from Barnes and Noble regarding the lack of updates. Has anyone else had this problem? My fear is something happened and I may never see my package on there estimated arrival date which is the 28th. Also I live in Indiana about 30 to 40 minutes out of indianapolis so I would have assumed my package would have arrived by now even though I put in for standarad delivery 2-6 days. Since it has seemingly every other time.Is my package on the move or is it stuck somewhere possibly lost (yes I even had thoughts of that being the cause thanks to the horrible week I was having).

How to remove my mobile Youtube search history on a Nook Color?

I have a Nook Color and I have used the Internet browser to go onto Youtube and watch videos. I have searched some videos and I would like to delete the search history. I have tried everything, clearing cache, history clearing form data, everything even signing in but it doesn't work. Someone please help I have been trying for a while. Keep in mind that the Youtube is on the internet, not an app. Once again it is the mobile version of Youtube.

Weird encounter? Your Opinion?

I was in Barnes&Noble looking for a book with my friend. I noticed this old lady come from behind us to look a little ways down the aisle. She was pretty short and had long white hair. Within a minute she asked me if I needed help and I said how I want an interesting book. Keep in mind that she didn't work for Barnes&Noble. I said yeah and she picked up the book "This World we Live in." I picked it up and said thank you. She went away and came back like 30 seconds later and said "Don't feel obligated to read it." And she walked away. I saw her go to the next aisle and wanted to ask her about the second book after it.It was only a minute too and I could not find her.My friend and I looked through the whole store and could not find her.

I think I had an encounter with an angel to be honest. She had such a warm and nice presence that felt as if I have known her for years. I reluctantly had to purchase the book. What do you guys think?
