Please, I have to turn in an essay soon on this stupid book I haven't read. I can't go to the library today either and I don't know any Barnes and nobles. The book is like 400 pages long and the essay has to be at least 1000, (my teacher sucks), and if I get a missing assignment then my Dads gonna belt me.My teacher wants it, if he doesn't get the essay then the assignment goes down as missing.

Google play for a nook?

I got a nook color (I guess) and my facebook wont allow me to play some games on it. I can play a couple of them but most will not play, like words with friends and bubble safari. I have gone to the zynga site itself and they still wont load on the nook. I have tried to get google play to work and it wont download the app. I guess i am wondering if this is an android and how to get my games to play on it.

I started to root my Nook tablet, then decided not to. But, during the process, I enabled USB debugging and disabled auto mount. Well,I figured out how to turn off USB Debugging, but I really need to know how to get to the settings again so I can enable auto mount, because right now, my computer won't even read my nook.So mainly, how do you get to the setting on a Nook tablet where you can enable Auto Mount?

Where can I find a replacement charger for my 1st gen. Nook?

I have misplaced my Nook (1st gen) charger and I am looking for a replacement. I would love to not have to pay the 14.95 for it in the Barnes and Noble online store and I have found out that the Nook uses a USB Type A/ Micro-B cable but I do not want to get something with the wrong voltage and I would love to buy one from Amazon because they are cheap but I am not sure which would be best for the Nook, if any.

Has anyone bought a non-B&N cable for their Nook that has worked/ know of any that would? Specifics are most welcome… links and such.

Nook hd+ data partitioned? internal storage capacity?

I have a concern that the nook hd+ 9inch partitioned its data like its previous tablets. (The nook tablet had only 1gig of space for apps outside of the b&n ecosystem)

My question is in the nook hd+, I go into settings >> storage management and it shows Internal Storage Capacity. Then it gives 3 options: 75% full, 90% full, 95% full. What does this mean? I have tried to google it but nothing comes up.

Hello! I think this is what I'll put on my Christmas list this year. I'm an avid reader, and for Christmas, I generally just ask for books. But I also can see some problems with this situation, so I'll cover all bases. I'm in high school, and between books needed for in-class reading, required reading, and personal books, my backpack is stretched to the limit. I think a Nook or Kindle would really help in sizing down my load. (My backpack has a 'iPad slot' in it, designed to carry an iPad, so I could put it in there) I would be getting the older Nooks/Kindles, not the new $299 ones. Also, I think this would be a good investment as I am a person who read all the Harry Potters in a month, Percy Jackson in a week, and Inheritance in three days. Just a few major questions:

I'm getting a nook/kindle for Christmas and I don't know which one to get. I'd like to have wifi access (email, facebook, etc.). I'd like to be able to upload books off my mac at home and borrow books/audiobooks from the public library.It would also be great if I could buy/upload music onto the device.

Online it says that the Simple Touch has wifi but no browsing? How does that work? Can I access email and all? It does have a glowlight and screen protection which is good! No audio… so no music and no password protection.

What is wrong with Adobe Digital Editions/my Nook?

I have the old nook, with the touch screen at the bottom and e-ink screen. I downloaded a book from the Maryland E-Library Consortium, authorized Adobe Digital Editions, plugged in my nook, and dragged the book (.acsm) onto "Nook" on the left.It started copying to my device, and it was taking a long time so I walked away (left the macbook pro open). I came back a while later, maybe an hour or so, and it was STILL copying.Is it supposed to take that long? Did I do something wrong? Is something not supported, like Mac or the old Nook? Help! The book is due in 5 days and I'm not the fastest reader!

I want to get an ebook reader but I'm torn between getting a nook or a kindle. I would get the most basic model or the ones that let you read in the dark with the attached light (Kindle/Kindle paperwhite or Nook simple touch/Nook simple touch with glowlight). I am trying to figure out which one gives me the most options in terms of getting books mostly, but any other input would be great. Oh, I don't know if this matters but I have an android phone and have a couple books on there which I downloaded from the google books. I would like to be able to transfer these to whichever reader I get.

Good, sturdy messenger bag for broke people?

Basically, I need a messenger bag that:
-- Is really sturdy and can hold up to multiple textbooks and binders for a long period of time

Where can I get a larger copy of Love Comes Softly?

Currently, my girlfriend owns a first gen Nook. She is finding it very difficult to find a case for it.It was a gift, so upgrade has sentimental problems. I, as the boyfriend trying to earn brownie points, have decided to create a case for her. Her favorite book is Love Comes Softly. I want to take a copy and hollow the middle and reinforce it so that inside it she will able to hold the nook.

The nook is 7 3/4 inches high and 5 inches wide.It's roughly 1/2 of an inch deep. What I have seen for copies of the book has troubled me though. The biggest copy I have seen is barely larger than the nook itself. (Like quarters of an inch larger).

It would need to be at least 8 1/4 inches high and 5 1/2 inches wide. Depth seems to not be a problem.

What I want to know is:

Is there a place I can find a hard cover copy of this book (Love Comes Softly) that would fit the requirements I mentioned?

Hey. I live in Norway and I have just ordered a Nook HD from Ebay. I plan to use it for sideloading books from my own computer with books bought in here Norway, this because all Norwegian e-readers are crap.

My nook simple touch is stuck on the startup screen loading!

I can't go into the nook bookstore or read the books that downloaded on the nook simple touch at all!!! It's been stuck loading all night long! I really need help!!! I don't know how to reboot the device!!! I did the hard and soft reset but it doesn't work! When I do it would just start up normally but when it gets to the nook loading screen it would be stuck!!! Where can you find a good and cheap sketchbook?

I usually get mine at Barnes and Nobles because the paper in the sketchbooks are amazing. I don't like the ones at Walmart because the drawings will smudge if you rub them, even just a tad. I'm wondering because the ones at Barnes and Nobles are 12-15 bucks and they're really.nice looking. Sense they're nice looking and expensive, I feel like i need to always put a master piece on every page.Is there any places that have cheap but they won't smudge.Is that what acid free paper is?
