How come i don't see a copy paste option for books on the nook app?

I have both the nook app and kindle app on my computer on the kindle it allows me to highlight text and copy paste it to other places but i don't see this option on the nook..is it not available or am i just doing something wrong?

Hello there fellow Anime/Manga Otakus! ;) I'm heading out to barnes and nobles to buy some manga tomorrow and I want to start another series and would like some help finding a cool one!

Ones I have read/am reading:
Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler
Ao No Exorcist/Blue Exorcist
Pandora Hearts
Fullmetal Alchemist
D.Gray Man

I also read some of Negima! and it was cool, not my favorite though. Read some of but never finished Neon Genesis Evangelion. Watched/Watching Fruits Baskets, Hetalia, and just started Darker Than Black.

I tend to like mangas with a lot of action so I don't get bored.(I have the attention span of a goldfish) I don't mind romance but I usually don't like mangas that are focused on romance. I also really like the darker mangas (much to my mother's dismay… especially as I am a very happy person) but nothing so dark that my mom has to tell me again she is "worried about me" because of what I'm reading. XD

Still kind of new to anime and manga as you can see so I'd love some opinions on what to read next!

Nook HD vs Kindle HD?

Can't decide which one. Would use it mainly for books, but I'm sure I will surf the net, check emails, and use it for movie watching while traveling. I notice the Kindle has about an inch boarder around, and Nook does not, are they the same screen size? I know most devices get hot from being on, but is there a difference in the two? Replacement battery for the Nook Simple Touch model BNRV300 or just a throw away? - 1

Anyone manufacture a replacement battery for this Nook Simple Touch BRNV 300 model?

I can't find a replacement battery anywhere and id much rather fix it than throw it in the trash because my warranty is already void due to time. I hope this isn't the case.

Barnes and Noble has a page by page tutorial on how to get the back off Nook Simple Touch just for the sake of voiding the warranty it would seem because the battery is sitting right there but Barnes and Noble says the Nook Simple Touch isn't consumer serviceable. They have tutorials on how to get to the battery and replace it if need be yet the Nook Simple Touch is not consumer serviceable? The only reason I could see how this Nook isn't consumer serviceable is the fact that there's no replacement battery anywhere.

That's my take on it so far but maybe someone can better inform me. I already know the nature of modern batteries and how a battery for the Nook Simple Touch would have to be specially made because it would require micro controllers and blah blah but there are replacement batteries for everything else…

Nook HD+ or Kindle Fire HD?

I need an un-biased opinion. I currently have a Nook Tablet and am considering upgrading after Christmas. I had originally planned to get the Nook HD+, but then I looked at the Kindle Fire HD and now am not sure which one to get. I am very much aware that Amazon offers a lot more as far as apps, music, movies, and tvs are concerned.So please leave that out in your answers. Those things are not that important since I will mainly be using it for reading, but they do make it very tempting. I would like to know between the two, which is a better device (aside from the features already listed). I have only been on a Kindle a few times just to help someone out when they first got it so I am not too familar with the layout of it.It would be nice to get a good answer from someone who has used both Nook and Kindle, but all answers are welcome. So my bf told me yesterday that he was going to come over to my house around mid day and i said ok. This morning my sister called me and asked me if i could babysit from 10am to 4pm and she would pay me. I said i couldnt cause i had plans with my bf. Then my other sister told me she was going to another of my sisters house and i said i couldnt go cause i made plans. Then my bf texted me and told me he was coming for dinner. I was naturally mad and annoyed because i had said no to my sisters and couldve been doing something other than be at my house alone! He then told me i should have told him like a normal person but i didnt know he wasnt coming and when i make plans with people i dont change them i do what i have planned. He said that i should have just informed him about it and now he says he is coming over, i told him to just come later and he said that he was a t barnes and nobles reading having some alone time.i dont care he can have his time but i just want him to please just be here when he says he is.am i right or is he? when we argue he is sometimes right and sometimes wrong but always seems to make it my fault! idk all i want is for him to not do this again.thanks guys.

Here is what I have so far for my mansion in my novel:

It's a large house made of white stone. Surrounding the property is big, stone walls. The only way inside is through a pair of silver gates. The lawn is full of nice things all throughout the yard.
In the basement, there is a game room with a pool table, dart boards and card table. A full service bar with an efficiency kitchen. And a wine cellar with a bistro set for wine tasting. A laundry room with an ironing board and a sewing machine set up all the time. There is an indoor pool surrounded by Italian hand painted tiles. And a theater room with ten sets of love seats to accommodate a crowd.
On the main floor, there's a kitchen with a small greenhouse attached for growing fresh fruits and veggies, along with herbs. A butler's pantry equipped with everything a butler needs with a door leading outside to the barbeque area. A study with white wooden paneled walls and bookshelves from floor to ceiling, a hug carved desk and a white leather chair. There's a grand foyer that's two stories high with a winding staircase and white marble flooring. A music room with a baby grand piano and other instruments where performers play during a house party. A sun room that overlooks a formal garden and down onto a lower lawn where there is a pool and a tennis court. There's also a sitting room with white velvet furniture.
And in the attic, I have a playroom and nursery in the kid's wing. A family room with white velvet furniture.An office where I do most of my work. And a computer, video and audio room.My bedroom is also in the attic.
My bedroom is large and I love it.It has white walls with silver designs all over them and fluffy white carpeting. There is also a canopy bed, window seat, reading nook, crystal chandelier, balcony and walk-in closet.My balcony is white stone with a glass table and two white chairs on it. Inside my closet is a lot like my bedroom. There are white walls with silver designs, fluffy white carpet and a crystal chandelier. Along three of the walls are racks and racks of dresses, tops and bottoms. And along the last wall are racks of shoes.In the middle of the closet is a silvery ottoman where all of my accessories are kept.

So that is what I have.Am I missing anything, or should I be more descriptive? I feel lost…

Why won't my nook simple touch battery last for very long?

I've had my nook simple touch for about a year now. The battery life has been great ( lasting for a few weeks) until recently. All of a sudden, my battery will go down about 60% in one day, even if I'm only reading for about an hour a day. When I charge it, I charge it overnight. I never have the WiFi turned on. Does anybody know why this happened?

Hello all!
I am interested in buying an E-Reader, whether it be a nook or a kindle or something else, primarily as a tool to further my language learning.

What I'm looking for is an e-reader that can play audio books, while simultaneously reading the text for that given audiobook.

The second feature that I am looking for is a sort of built in dictionary with capacity for other languages (Spanish, French etc.) in the sense that one could search the word and get a definition straight on the screen. (If it's, lets say, a French dictionary offering the definition in French, that's fine.)

Preferably it wouldn't cost over 150$

I'm 18 and I really need a job.So far, I've applied (paper application) to several retail stores (Aeropostale, American Eagle, Barnes & Noble, a kid store, a shoe store).

Name of a manga in Shonen Jump?

Over 5 years ago, I read my brother's Shonen Jump magazine and there were these few pages that featured part of this manga that contained ecchi and mild nudity.

I later saw it for sale in my local Barnes & Noble bookstore but didn't buy it since I didn't have any money. I eventually forgot about it and the magazine is long gone.

I've tried my best searching around lately (even the encyclopedia in the ANN site) and I could not find the name. I have a vague memory of it.

There's this manga featured in a Shonen Jump magazine over 5 years ago and I forgot the name of it.
It contained mild nudity and ecchi.It was for sale in my local bookstore in California, USA.

After working 3 eight hour shifts in a row, yesterday, on my day off, they called me and asked me if I could cover a 1-9pm shift.
I didn't answer, but they left me a voice mail.
I'm fairy sick, too. I was asleep when i got the call, and I never returned the call because I felt so crappy.

However, I said even if it's a series better than Harry Potter, I don't think it will get taken seriously if you give away book 1 of the series for free.

Now, it seems he's proved me wrong, as apparently he's sold over 20, 000 ebooks on various sites and earned thousands of pounds in a matter of months as his free book lured people in. What are your opinions on the matter of publishing your first ebook for free? Does it help get you a fanbase or hinder your future prospects of the series being taken seriously?

I'm in a dilemma as I'm not sure whether I should emulate my friend's methods or not.As we all know, there is no secret or success manual to follow when trying to make it as an author. But, I'm sure many people with Kindles, Nooks etc… love a free book that is completed, edited and had over a year dedicated on it.As you know, most freebies are just excerpts or fanfiction, but what road would you take to self-publishing?

Yeah, I've got 2 in the series completed with the 3rd in it's rough draft.So, I could publish 2 in the same series, but would it be weird if the first was free and I put up a small charge for the second? Believe me, I'm not serving up steaming piles of cr@p. I've worked at them for over 3 years, had them picked at and critiqued by fellow writers; I've had beta-readers highlight any noticeable mistakes or what they think didn't work etc…

So, what route should I take? Should I wait until the 3rd book is fully completed before I even think about self-publishing in ebook format? Again, I'm grateful for everyone's input.

Will I have to pay a penalty on this?

I accidentally placed a second order on Barnes & Noble.com under the impression that I could cancel the first order and start over. Well I requested cancellation and it couldn't be canceled so I immediately requested the cancellation for the second order. And it confused there system because it said it was scheduled to ship after only 10 minutes. Than said it was canceled than sent the same to emails 2 more times before it did actually cancel luckily my first order was unaffected. But will I have to pay some sort of fee for cancelling the second order?

How to connect 21 devices to a network?

Currently we have 21 devices which need to connect to the internet in our home.
7 Laptops (2 connected via ethernet)
2 Desktops (2 connected via ethernet)
1 IPOD
1 Nook color
1 Tablet
2 Playstation 3 (1 connected via ethernet)
2 Wii
1 XBOX360
2 cell phones
1 Nintendo 3DS
1 Printer (connected via usb to one of the hardwired desktops)

To connect all of this I have 1 CISCO Linksys router 2 Belkin wireless routers, 1 D-Link 10/100 fast Ethernet Switch and one cable modem. I would like to have 2 of these devices on their on separate network wireless but on the same shared internet connection. The other 19 devices I would like in their own network if possible. 5 out of the 21 devices are all cat6 wired the rest of the 16 devices are wireless devices.
Added (1). My current network setup is one cable modem, and one CISCO Linksys router. Wired by cat6 Ethernet to the router are my PS3, 2 Laptops and 1 desktop and all the rest of the devices are wireless. Problem is I keep having to reset the router because the wireless devices cant connect to the internet only the network. But the wired devices are working fine all of the time.

Which tablet is best for me?

I'm debating between the Nook HD or HD+, the Kindle Fire HD or HD 8.9 or the iPad Mini.It would mostly be used for reading, but also for playing games and web surfing. I've come up with some pros and cons for each device. Which device do you think is best for me based on the pros and cons I have listed, as well as your personal experiences with each device.

•I can go to the store where I purchased the device if I have an issue.
•I can read any eBook for free in B&N.
•Highest resolution HD screen.

Nook HD/Nook HD+ Cons
•No camera
•Customer service horror stories
•Only apps come directly from B&N, no other sources.
•Limited selection of apps.

Kindle Fire HD/Kindle Fire HD 8.9 Pros
•Front camera
•Large selection of apps
•HD screen
•Good customer service
•Best sounding

Kindle Fire HD/Kindle Fire HD 8.9 Cons
•No rear-facing camera
•No way to put selected apps on home page
•Problems accessing Amazon on my laptop

iPad Mini Pros
•Already have an iTunes account
•Largest app selection
•Good OS
•Web browser (Safari) works well
•Can get it engraved (looks nice as well as helps keep it from getting stolen)

•Some books or apps more expensive than Amazon or B&N
