My siblings and i all have nooks and Minecraft Pocket Edition on them. We can play solo just fine but for some reason cannot connect to each others worlds nook to nook. We can only connect to each other if we use our moms ipad or one of our cousin kindles as the server everyone joins.Is there any way to connect to each other nook to nook? By the way we have made sure each time we try to connect that the server is visible so yeah and please help we would all really appreciate it very much.

Nook problem: book won't open?
I got a Nook for Christmas. I bought a book off of Barnes and Noble, and it showed up and downloaded on my Nook, but when I try to open it to read, it won't come up.It acts like it is going to open it, but then it just returns to my library page. All of my other books open fine. Any ideas on how to fix this.
P.S. B&N website has been INCREDIBLY slow today and yesterday. I figured it is just b/c so many ppl are probably setting up their Nooks and such from Christmas… but is it always like this? I can hardly get it to do anything… it either says "Server is busy" or takes five min to load the page. Everything else loads fine on my compture… just wondering…

Cycling a 55 gallon tank?
Me and my boyfriend just bought a used 55 gallon tank today on Craigslist. Right now I'm sanding down the stand and going to repaint it.It has some nooks in it. However, the tank and filters are brand new.My question. How do you properly cycle a tank this large. We are used to 10 and 20 gallon tanks. This is our first 55. We have some decor we want to take out of a tank in use… without disturbing the fish of course. We want to set this new 55 up with all the decor. Our plan is to let it run for an entire week and then add our 2 fantail gold fish and 2 plecos in it. I would like some tips on cycling. We have the ph test, nitrates, and ammonia tests.Is our plan okay?

Why does my clean the floors like crazy?
I think she has ocd or something.i mean she sweeps the floors once in the morning and once at night.she even has different mops for the kitchen and the rest of the house like what
our house isn't all that dirty (maybe cause he cleans it) but i bet it still won't be if she'd do so less often.my mum, dad and i are all out during the day so there's nobody in the house to leave dust behind and we wear slippers inside the house.however she still manages to sweep up a little pile of dust which she freaks out over.

How to reclaim micro SD space on Nook Color Root?
I am running CM7 from a micro Sd card on my nook color.It is an 8 gig card and right now its showing I only have just over 4 gigs of a card and no room available. How do I reclaim more of my space? Does anyone know? I don't wan to install onto the emmc at all. I know that is one solution.

I'm a little confused-ish :/?
So my life seems to be spiraling out of control a bit :/
Awhile ago my parents told me I was moving to Texas, and leaving where I had grown up, and for the next few days I had pretty much no emotion. The same thing is happening now.
I went to Japan and stayed with a very nice family this summer for my school's student exchange program. The kids that my friends and I hung out with just left on Tuesday. After they left, I hung out with the people I usualy hung out with, and I don't know if they had some sort of huge meeting or something, even though alot of them hate eachother, but I guess they decided that none of them ever liked me. I still have a few friends, and they are pretty awesome :3 but one of the most confusing things is that, today, I was told by un named person number one that un named person number two hated me… and also was told by un named person number two that un named person number one hates me? This is happening with quite a few people. And they all say that the other person is lying…
Anyway, to my main point here (sorry this is so long, I have alot to say. If you are still here… good job :3)
I literalt have NO motivation anymore. I don't want to get out of bed. If I want to move somewhere it will usualy take me about 20 minutes to actualy get up. I don' t ever eat anything, becuase i'm never thirsty. I really don't want to go to school ever again.My mom got my progress report, and I have three failing grades, so she is going to take my Nook Color on Sunday afternoon.
My problem with that is, first off, the thing is my life source. Mainly becuase it's where I keep my music. And if she takes my music, it wont end well. I could tell her that my grades will drop further if she takes it, but she wont beleive me. I'll have panic attacks and stuff :/ She doesn't know about them, though…
i feel like i'm just rambling now… I was just wondering if something was wrong with me :/

Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight Problem?
Hello everyone, I'll try to be brief.So I'm a bit of a tech guy and often I like to pull apart different devices so that I get a sense of what the components are like. I have a Nook Simple Touch from Barnes & Noble. I took the device apart completely. After I took it apart, I put it together the exact same way but the touchscreen now doesn't function.It cannot recognize my finger swipes etc. I know for a fact that I haven't damaged anything on the motherboard so I have no clue why it's behaving like this. I can still restart the device with the power button (back) and when I press the Nook button (front), I can still activate the glow light. Also, the screen savers that appear all work fine which seems to indicate that there's no software issues.It's just the screen's not able to register any touch inputs. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on how to fix this? It would be gladly appreciated.
Added (1). I would just like to note that the touchscreen worked fine before I took the device apart.It stopped working once I put everything back together.

Any tips for a job interview?
My job interview is gonna be at Barnes&nobles (bookstore/cafe) for a position either on the floor or in the cafe.It's my first interview so I'm really nervous and I'm not sure what i should be ready for or what i should wear. Any novel similar to anime storylines?
Hey, so I need to independently read a novel for class. I am in 8th grade and I find most books I read to be very uninteresting. Does anyone know of any real novel that's similar to an anime/manga story style? By that I mean a storyline with possibly a high school kid who gets accused of murder and must spend time in imprisonment (like Deadman Wonderland) or save the world. Or it could be a book that is 'fun and light hearted' with everyday school life predicaments. I need it to be a real 'reading' book so that I can annotate it and present facts about it to the class. I've heard Maximum Ride is kind of like that, but it's too long for me at the moment. I want it to be a book with about 300 pages give or take a few. I also need to buy the book, so I hope it's available at Barnes & Nobles. Thank you in advance.

Why can't I see Pet rescue saga requests from facebook?
Yesterday I synced my facebook account to my game and I can't see requests.It allows me to send requests to friends, but I am still not advancing. I get a notification that a friend has sent a request but when I click on it it just takes me to the pet rescue page on the google play store. I am trying to unlock the next episode and it's really frustrating. I play the game on a nook hd+, if that helps.

Nook HD acting weird?
I've had my Nook HD for going on 2 months now. Recently it hasn't been charging like it's supposed to. I will put it on the charger, leave it over night, and when I go to look at it in the morning it is at the same percentage. Just today the battery died, and so I put it on the charger. Whenever I go to turn it on, all it is saying is that it is overheated… but it's cold. Can someone help?

When Iwas 12, just after my great grandma's death… that very night… Idreamt of a corresponding incident in my sleep… that grand ma would be back… but grandpa said that… not in the usual form… he was about to warn me of something… when my dream broke… Istill now remember every nook and corner of the dream… even the dress I wore… a green gown… with orange polka dots!
The most traumatized psychic feeling… at around 12 or 11… grandpa was watching the cricket match… before it started… I already started dreaming of the same match… of the same perspective… the stadium… the people… as if am watchin the match… in my dreams… but then… suddenly… all went red… the dimension changed… and Ijust couldn'tdescribe the feeling!! I woke up… was traumatized… and seeing that very scene of the cricket match… infront of me… as grandpa was watching… made me more scared… and that heart throbbing feeling was like… extremely painful… was hard to breathe!
Besides… I'm very sound in imaginative skills… Ican pretty well think of anything… mostly very vividly… and colored… and most of the time I think… short or long movie scenes… Imake on my own… vivid detailed!!!

Why didn't my Henna stain?
Ok, I'm a little upset that my henna has not stained. I'm new to the whole process, so I'm hoping someone can point out somehting I did wrong.
I bought a kit from Barnes and Noble that was dated 2012. But when I searched online most people say that powder is good for a few years. I followed the instructions carefully. I mixed the powder, which seemed to smell fresh and not stale, with lemon juice and sugar until I had a paste-like consistency. Then I let it sit in a plastic baggie on the counter for 24 hours. I tried it on my clean skin on my arm in a small pattern. After it began to dry I applied a sugar/lemon mix to lightly moisten it, and then I blow dried it for like 20 seconds. I let it crack and fall off and there was no stain at all. Nothing.
I left the mixture in the cone baggie and set it back on the counter for 24 hours more. (I read that since it has been cooler in my area that the dye might take longer to release.) I just tried a new design on my other arm and sealed it with lemon sugar but did not blow dry it. After it cracked and peeled I realized there is still no stain.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Is the stain supposed to appear after an hour or so? Helpful advice would be great!

Will barnes and noble send a Recipt to my billing address?
I Wanna order something for my mom from barnes and noble. I was curious will they send a receipt to her house my credit card has my parents home as the billing address. I want it to be a surprise and my moms nosey I don't want her knowing until she gets it on her birthday.

Can you lose a contact in your eye and not notice it?
I had both my contacts in my eyes, but one day when I was playing with my puppy, she pawed my eye hard. Even though I didn't feel pain, I couldn't open my eye for a little bit, and when I did, my contact was all messed up, and after I blinked a couple times it either fell out of my eye or got stuck somewhere deep in the nooks of my upper eyelid, because I've been trying for at least thirty minutes with rinsing my eye, massaging the upper eyelid, searching all around my eye for a lost contact - I can't find it.
When I tried the technique of putting on another contact in my eye and blinking to attempt to dislodge it, I did feel irritation at first, and I thought my contact must be stuck under my upper lid somewhere. However, after taking out the newest one and searching for the old one, I could find it even less, and I don't feel it in my eye at all, even when at first I felt like there was possibly something stuck in the upper corners of my lid. Not even now, with another contact in that eye, do I feel the previous discomfort.
Do you think it fell out or if it's stuck in there somewhere good? I've made a very thorough search with various different dislodging techniques, and it's not helped. When I tried the technique of putting on another contact in my eye and blinking to attempt to dislodge it, I did feel irritation at first, and I thought my contact must be stuck under my upper lid somewhere. However, after taking out the newest one and searching for the old one, I could find it even less, and I don't feel it in my eye at all, even when at first I felt like there was possibly something stuck in the upper corners of my lid. Not even now, with another contact in that eye, do I feel the previous discomfort.
Do you think it fell out or if it's stuck in there somewhere good? I've made a very thorough search with various different dislodging techniques, and it's not helped. Do I need to take an internship as a stepping stone for the next big internship?
My goal for next summer is to get an internship in Washington, D. C.at the capitol under the WISH program and I don't really have any previous internship program but I do have experience in a lot of jobs such as Barnes and Nobles, Pei Wei, Macy's, and my parents restaurant. I have study abroad experience also.
Would it look good on my resume to have previous internship experience before applying to the WISH program or does it not matter?

Working at Barnes and Noble- advice on how to get the job?
I'm currently a senior in high school on the independent study program.It's where I come to school once a week for an hour and receive homework/test the subject.
I'm turning 18 on December 14th, and I want to get a job RIGHT AWAY. I'm so bored at home all the time, I love going to Barnes and Noble the store is just so fun, and I want to make friends.
Since my birthday is during the holidays, when should I apply? And how long will it take to get a job there?
This will be my first job, and I'm available to work all day everyday.

What level would you say this English essay is? Any feedback is greatly appreciated?
Will somebody please take the time to read this, it's my first draft at my English exam, I'm only in year ten so I still have a whole two years to improve on my creative writing. Here is y first draft:
Like a battlefield during a momentary ceasefire, the rust ridden, fog kissed park stood silently, the morning dew conjuring the worst imaginable winter scene, cascading around every last hint of pure, oxygenated air.
They had all gone, forgotten, for now…
With deadly conviction, a tyrant of wind conquered all in it's wake, eradicating the gray, dull sparks of life which remained. Like a hurricane, it abolished everything that's seemed to represent a park, the relaxed swing set: gone. The traditional, joy filled slide: gone. Last of all, the joyous smiles of the people: gone. A cyclone of ungrateful ku forgotten food packaging was the very tip of the iceberg, it was official, all hope was lost.
Opposite, stood what seemed to be an entirely different world: Ecstatic children fueled their adrenaline with the new, innovated equipment; dogs wresteld in perfect harmony amongst the moisturised, vibrant, iridescent, ladscape of wildlife; and the young yet enthusiastic amateurs learnt from the professional's.
The perfect picture, could almost direct ones attention from what lay parallel.
Boom! Like a bat out of hell, they came in their hundreds, the rejected ones. Like a horde of ghosts in an abondoned town, the cold-hearted adolescent teenagers flooded the park without hesitation; everything within the immediate vicinity was crushed by the devastation. They were Vulcan bombers, the park: a crazed battle field.
The unforgiving air was as cold as a witches kiss, piercing every available, lingering nook and crannie. The kids a dictator, the park, a mere manipulated tool.
Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated, I'm aiming for an A* at GCSE level, I could improve by atleast one grade given time.

The other day I was on Barnes and Noble's website and was looking for a book. The next day I was on YouTube and noticed an ad next to the video advertising the same book. Now last night, I was searching up chewy runts and am now having it advertised to me again. Has anyone else noticed this?

That sums up the arguments about the Founders religious beliefs, the First Amendment, and the role of religion in this country, both then, and now. The arguments that the atheists don't want us to hear.Do you know of any books that I can find that would be appropriate for what I've described? Something I can pick up maybe at Barnes and Noble? Is spirituality more popular than ever?
I live in England, and even though it is perceived by many to be an atheist/materialist place, due to the likes of Dawkins, Gervais, Hitchens etc, the reality seems far different.
I was at my spiritual Yoga class last night, I took the instructor out for a Coffee afterwards and she was telling me there are 10 times more people applying more for her class than there was even 5 years ago.
Any glance on the internet or in the book sales for the 'New Age' department of Barnes & Noble will indicate that the impulses behind religions have not faded in humanity, in the least, in fact quite the opposite.
Most western Europeans did not even know what spirituality meant a few generations now it is a common word, along with consciousness, spirital growth, spiritual happiness etc
Perhaps it is something we have learned from many immigrant cultures but it is certainly growing rapidly, even my 12 year old niece has learned to meditate and talks about consciousness, it just confuses her mother,

I am in my 60s and love McDonalds breakfast sandwiches, its a habit?
I live with my son and his family, I have helped care for the children since they were born. I also do their laundry and clean and cook most of the time. Just a little info to help you, help me. I look forward to getting out in the morning for some private time. I sit in my car with my little dog and I eat McDonalds breakfast sandwich meal. I know it is very unhealthy, so please don't get on me for that.It is like a treat for me to sit in their parking lot, where it is quiet and I eat and read my nook. I am serious about how much I want to change my way of eating breakfast into something I look forward to inside the house instead of going out.It is also expensive.

What is the reading level of Beautiful Chaos?
I need to fill out a reading log for school and it requires the reading level of my book. I am currently reading Beautiful Chaos, the third book of the Beautiful Creatures series. However, I use a nook to read and don't know how to find the reading level using it. Does anyone know what the reading level is or how to find it on a nook HD?

and think about it, to make DUBSTEP, you have to learn how to use a computer, and you have to press buttons really fast. Also you have to make it sound dope.

How to accomplish all my goals that require skill and knowledge?
I have so many goals that Ive been wanting to accomplish for a few years now. I get really depressed from time to time because I still have not nearly accomplished them and I'm growing up. I don't know where to start. I wanted to learn to play the piano and be a skillful and knowledge musician. I'm finally starting to take classes on it but its taking forever to be good at it. Ive wanted to somehow start a small business from scratch but I have no knowledge about that other than selling on ebay. I want to learn about coding to start up a productive application for windows or apple.Im halfway through high school so I cant go to college yet.At this point the only resources I see is going barnes and nobles and buying a ton of books. Ive done this before and take soooo long to even be mediocre at a skill. How can I keep on task and constantly learn and get better at all these things without it taking 10 years or so?

Why wait for Heaven when you can have it in your home?
I dreamt that I had died
and reached the Pearly gate,
I sat upon a silken cloud,
and began an anxious wait.
I gazed in wonder at the stars
that adorned Heaven's dome,
but deep within my heart I knew,
that I was missing home.
I trembled and remembered,
all my weaknesses and faults,
and wondered how on earth,
I'd enter Heaven's vaults.
I sneaked a look behind me,
at a never-ending queue,
So many poor souls waiting,
But the blessed would be few.
And then we heard a trumpet blast,
and an Angel choir sing,
The Gates of Heaven flew open wide,
on a prayer and on a wing!
And Heaven seemed familiar,
in a strange familiar way,
It truly seemed like home to me,
as I bent my head to pray.
Every nook and corner
brought a memory to mind,
The angels seemed familiar,
like family… gentle, fun and kind.
I smiled then and I understood,
as I wept and wept for mirth,
Heaven's not up in the sky,
Heaven's here on earth..!
An angel boy looked up at me,
I loved his laughing face,

For home is where your heart is,
and if Heavens' in your heart,

I need a book for class but forgot it!
Ok so on Friday I found ou I need to get a book for a report I'm doing. I didn't get it cause it was my b day over the weekend and I was with family on Saturday and Friday and the library isn't open on Sundays. And I forgot to ask my parents today.So I asked my dad and he went to Barnes and noble and didnt find a thing. He said I should use Internet but I'm not allowed. The teacher is so strict from so biking and personal expire nce I know she won't care about any excuses. If we're to tell her what I just told you she would say "that's not my problem" and then lecture me btw she has worked at my school for about 20 yrs and shes like 60 something. WHAT SHOULD I DO???

My micro 16GB is not working?
I know that 16GB can hold up to 1000 of pictures.
I use my micro SD card for rooting my nook color.

How to break into the field of editing?
I am currently a teacher (of all content areas) and am thinking of trying to get a job as an editor at a publishing company.
Though my degree is not in English or any form of writing, I do have a degree in education and experience in teaching English Language Arts and Reading.
To say that I am a book lover would be the understatement of the century for me. I love to read; I have a personal library of over 1, 000 books, not including the books I have on my Nook.
I have been doing some research and I think that both content and copy editing would be the right career choice for me to make at this point in my life. I want to be completely happy and fulfilled in my job.As much as I love my students, I don't feel as passionate about teaching as I ever have about reading.

What to do if UPS says they left a delivery notice but didnt?
So, earlier in the week I ordered a package from Barnes and Noble, and they were to send it care of UPS. I signed up for their email tracking, so I know that my package got into town yesterday, september 6th, around noon.So, naturally I expected it to arrive today, but it didn't, and at 6:11 PM today I got an email that said this:
Exception Reason: POST OFFICE ATTEMPTED DELIVERY AND LEFT A DELIVERY NOTICE AT THE LOCATION. CONTACT POST OFFICE PER DELIVERY NOTICE.
Exception Resolution: POST OFFICE EVENT
It also said that they had come at 5:10 PM, when nobody was home (I was running a few errands at the time). I figured that this all meant that they had come, noticed nobody was home, and had left a note describing how I could claim my package. The problem is that they had left no such note, I looked all around the house and no note. I looked all up and down the street too in case it had fallen off and blown away, but there was simply no note. I tried looking at the UPS website, but since their support page is awful, I figured Id come here.So, my question is, how do I reclaim my package? Should I wait to see if they can deliver it monday? Should I find a support number and if so, where do I find this number? I thank you in advance

I accidentally ordered a book off of Barnes and Noble for college. I put the address, city, and state down correctly. The only thing I put down wrong was the zip code. I do not know what to do. I need this book ASAP and I'm afraid USPS will not deliver it to the right location. What should I do?

How to get rid of these ants?
They are driving me insane! We sprayed around the outside of the house, around every nook and cranny in the kitchen. Up the walls and around the doors. I have been getting rid of food right away and wiping up all the crumbs. The spray sure did a great job killing on contact. And apparently it really did create a space where the ants wouldn't go (for a little while at least) but all that meant was that the ants moved on to other strange places where they weren't before. Like in my pots and pans cabinet. And crawling around my refrigerator door water/ice dispenser. Not inside of it, just around it. And then up to the top of my fridge where there is never any food kept. I just started a wonderful crock pot dinner only to come back a few minutes later to find some crawling around the lid. Dinner RUINED! They weren't on the counter this time, apparently since they were in the pots and pans cabinet (which I found out right after starting the meal) they must have been inside the CLEAN crock pot base and the heat must have scared them all out into the top. I'm completely disgusted! I've even started to find them crawling around my 2 year old's floor every night when I put him to bed, and we never let him have any food in there! There are always a couple wondering around my tub too. Every now and then I even find them on me!!! I know that its almost fall and I am hopeful that means they will just disappear but I am hearing stories of all year round ants that are really starting to get me scared. What can I do? And something practical that can be used with a child, a baby on the way and a cat in the house?

Ive never had a job. Ive apply online to barnes and noble, starbucks, target, home depot, and walmart.
Question #1: is it better to apply in person?
(Ive asked barnes and noble, and bestbuy workers in person. But they said to apply online)
I applied to all in late july - early august. Its now september 06. Only starbucks replied back, saying that the position is filled.

I forgot my interviewer's name. Will I not get the job?
The interview went really well, it was for working at barnes and noble. However I forgot the interviewers name as usual. Thus at the end I said great meeting you, and she said thank you Neal. I knew this was coming and I assume she thought I was going so say her name, but I didn't. Leading to some awkwardness.
Is it possible that something like this can be a deal breaker? It went extremely well up to that point. She even gave me a time when she should be getting back to me about the second interview, after she interviews everyone else. I just feel like I screwed up… I can never remember names… especially on the spot.

How to get Dr. Horrible Comics?
I've been trying to find the comics such as Moist: Humidity Rising, Penny: Keep Your Head Up, and Be Like Me online, but all I've been able to find are links to myspace that don't seem to work. I tried finding them on the Barnes' N Nobles website and I did find one Dr. Horrible comic (called Dr. Horrible) but nothing else. Where would I be able to get the other comics? (online or otherwise) Also, I tried to see if the comic I found at Barnes N Nobles wasn't simply a collection of all Dr. Horrible comics, but it wasn't very clear. Please also let me know if it is a collection of them all (or a few, particularly the others I mentioned) or a separate comic.

That is the book I am told to get, but when I was looking through online on Amazon, Ebay, and Barnes and Noble, I found older editions a bit cheaper. The book I am told to get is 10th Edition, but is there any problem if I get 8th or 9th Edition?

I have an 11 year old cousin who has a 13 and 14 year old step brother and step sister. Her step brother gets C's and B's while her step sister get's A's.Straight A's.And my cousin is not so good at math. She even has to take an intensive class in math just to catch up. But she excels in reading. But the thing is, she will get the occasional C in Social Studies, Math, or Science. And when she gets those grades, her parents ground her for weeks, or maybe even months. She once got her Nook taken away and her mom promised to give it back by summer, and that was when she was in the fourth grade and she never got it back. All for a C. Her parents only accept A's and B's.My cousin has tried to tell her mom that if she get's C's, it's because she doesn't understand. But her mom insists it's because she doesn't pay attention. Her dad never grounds her brother or sister for it, but her parents ground her. Are they being too hard on my 11 year old cousin?

Between bunnies, and dogs, and any other animal which is more suitable?
My problem is that I really want a pet. However, due to lifestyles, the state of my home, and financial situation, I do not know what pet I should get.
My requirements:
Something that needs exercise anywhere from once a week for an hour to six days out of seven for an hour.
Something that shows affection.
Something that communicates, but isn't overly loud. I enjoy the howling of huskies, or when animals 'talk back', but the other occupant of the house works nights so it wouldn't be a good idea if they barked a lot.
Something I can take with me. I ride the bus and my bike a lot so I'd like to be able to walk them or carry them with me to friend's house.
Something that generally does well with other animals, only really concerned with other dogs and cats.
Something that does well with people.
Something that doesn't cost much. For instance, I don't have to buy it expensive food, or I can buy regular groceries and share with it (vegetables/pure meat strips). Or I can give it make-shift toys to play with.
Something that is adorable, and for a dog, something masculine. I know I'm discriminating here, but I really wouldn't be comfortable with a dog that fits with the elderly woman, or the posh and pampered women.
Something that can be chill and sit on my lap as I watch a movie or do homework.
Something that doesn't get into the nooks and crannies and gets lost and other such horrors.
Something that doesn't destroy my stuff.
I don't really care if they dog needs physical maintenance such as bathes, teeth brushing, hair brushing and nail clipping at least once a week. I know that is kinda a stretch but I know some animals need to be brushed once a week and I'm up for it.
The above listed, I am fully aware, can be the out comes of an sub-par care-taking on the owner's part.So this is what I have to give as an owner.
Walking the dog 5-15 for potty walks that adhere to its eating schedule.
Playing with it for about an hour daily, on occasions doing something special like hikes or special doggie parks.
Taking it out to socialize with people and other animals.
Treating it with respect.
Taking time to get it used to things like bikes, cars and water.
Taking time to train it.
Bonding with it in general.
Treating it like my fur baby/child.
The situation of the house:
The house is a typical small ranch style house.
Our backyard is hard to determine, but it is rather long, but about ten feet from the back side of the house to the other side of the fence.
We've got a imperfections in the fence that we can't really get into to ensure no escape.
The outside is prone to squirrel, pesky birds, and at night, raccoon and the occasional possum.
I leave every fourth week for a week. The pet would be left in the care of someone who sleeps during the day and leaves the house frequently. They can give the animal minimal attention, let it into the back yard to do it's business/clean the litter box and feed it. The house is rather messy, exposed wire, bags and the main trash can is not kept in the cabinet. I personally can try my best to hide some wires, but that is about it.
I've looked to birds, lizards, cats, dogs and bunnies but I always find something wrong with them. I dearly need a companion to put my extra energy to since I graduated high school.

What does it mean when a book's a movie tie-in?
I was browsing the Barnes & Noble website when I saw a Tolkien 4 book set containing The Hobbit and all three of the Lord of the Rings book for cheap. However in the product description it said 'movie tie-in'. Does this mean they're basically a novelization of the movie version of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings? I love the movies but I want to read the original books with all the parts that were cut out of the films.

Can I exchange these books, they are all in mint condition because I didn't really use them. I have a copy of a receipt for 6/8 books

How to get a free Nook or Kindle?
I have scoliosis. The lower curve is 20° and the upper curve is 30°.My back is in a lot of pain even if I only have one book in my backpack. (I'm aware of backpacks with wheels, but those aren't allowed at school.)
I don't think we're poor, but my parents don't have any money after they pay the bills.My mom has terminal cancer and my dad only spends money on me when the social workers yell at him. I've tried asking relatives, but none of them have any spares or can afford one.My parents make too much money to be on government assistance so I don't think any charities would help. I have no friends so I can't really ask anybody else that I know.

I know that if i go over my internet limit, the speed will get extremely slow, and i was wondering if i could still stream hulu on my nook or computer. I know if i can get it to play, i can pause it for around five minutes and then play it.

Can I download Nook Study on a Microsoft Surface RT?
I bought an e textbook from barnes and noble and I wanted to know if Nook study is compatable with windows 8, specifically on the Surface RT. I really just want to be able to view my textbooks on a tablet because it would be much more convenient than carrying around textbooks.

I don't think I can cope with moving?
I'm an early teenager and my parents are divorced. I go back and forth between houses.My Dad lives in the city and my mom lives about 20-30 minutes from there. I go to school And such near my dad's. About three days ago my mom and I were complaining about the traffic between my mom's house and school, just a daily thing. I spent the next night at my dad's and when I came back my mom told me we were going to meet a real estate agent to see a house they saw online. I started panicking because I didn't want to move.My mom and step dad gave me a talk about how ghis is a starter home and 10 years is a long enough time and Iit's time to get a bigger house. They also don't like living around people. We're really into camping and being away from civilization. I understand all of this and I have no problem moving away from where we are, I don't have any neighborhood friends or anything. I wouldn't change schools because we'd just be up north so about the same distance from my dad's house and an hour from my current house. We went to see the house yesterday and It was perfect. Everything we could ever want.It needs a little bit of work but it could be amazing. There's a highschool nearby which means a lot of people around my age unlike here. On the drive home I started crying.It's not the neighborhood I'd miss.It's the house. I spent basicallly my whole life here. Every nook and cranny has a memory. We have four dogsso I guess it's a little small but it's the most perfect housee to me. We'd have to paint over my height measurements fom when I was 3 to now. Thehouse is in high deman which means we'd have to ork fast to buy it, and my mom's already cleaning up the house to show. I can't move away from mychildhood.

Recommendation for an E-Book Tablet/Device?
Im currently a student at a community college and when it comes to carrying books it is pain in the back literally! Ive heard people mentioning about an e book device or tablet where u can buy and download books on one device that u can carry around without carrying the extra weight of actual books. Ive also heard people mention that there are many tablets or devices that do that such as the nook, Kindle, Kindle fire hd, etc. Honestly, I dont know much about these things so im asking for everybodys opinion, advice, and recommendations on what should I do and/or look into? I really dont want to keep carrying heavy books all the time so im asking what device would work best? I would highly appreciate all responses that are given to me :)

Can you preorder cds from Barnes & Noble?
One of my favorite bands is releasing an album later this month and I really wanted to make sure I can get it day of release. Even though they're not extremely popular, I don't want to risk it. What do i do? (nook tab)?
Ok this may sound weird but i think my nook tablet is fried i tried updating bad piggies and angry birds star wars and half way threw my nook died and now everytime i try to download them again it tells me neither is available on a my devise at the time so i removed them from my devise and tried downloading again and the same thing from the store i have no books on and it says i may need to archive things for some space i gave up and tried a different upgrade (touch bible) and got the same messages so my question is what do i try a new sd card? clear the devise? what? and also is virus ware available for nooks?

Any place I can buy The Lord of the Rings Complete Recordings for around $50?
I'm a huge Tolkien fan, and the music of The Lord of the Rings is in my opinion the greatest film score of all time.It's heart-rendingly beautiful, but it is NOT worth the prices most sites list for it. Amazon and Barnes and Noble generally place the Complete Recordings from $60 to $110, and Amazon even had THE GALL to sell The Two Towers Complete Recordings at over a thousand dollars! OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS!
In my opinion, a soundtrack of such excellence, in addition to being a collector's edition, should only be worth around $50.Is there any place I can find The Complete Recordings at a similarly reasonable pricing?

How to fix my tablet?
It's a Nook HD+,I disabled and force stopped the Home app (retarded of me) and now when I go to Home it says "Unfortunately,Home has stopped working" and I can only access the settings. I told my Mom she shouldn't buy this shitty tablet but she bought it anyway. How do I un-disable and un-force stop the Home app?

So I've been trying to download ebooks onto my phone, but the option I always get is to open it in another app (such as Google Drive). However, when I'm downloading the same ebooks from the same places on the iPad, there is always the option to open/save it in the nook app and I never get any problems.Is there a way to get those same ebooks on my phone too?

Barnes and Noble shipping date?
I pre-ordered Mockingjay in paperback, which does not come out until March 2014. Along with it, I also got four other books. Now when I check my order status, it says all of the expected shipping dates is March 2014. Will they really wait that long to ship the whole package together or will they ship my other books when they are available ?? (which is now). If it helps, I got the free shipping option, which says they'll ship in the least amount of packages as possible.

I'm 18 years old. I submitted an online application and I'm going in tomorrow to speak with the manager to show them that I'm very interested in a job here. There is an opening as bookseller at this location. Working at Barnes and Noble is my ideal work place. I read in most of my free time.Is there anything I can say to increase my chances of getting called in for an interview? Technology for the classroom.?
I would like to get each student a tablet and some students laptops. I have 30 students.
LAPTOPS: How many laptops do I need? Any suggestions for laptops? I would like something safe enough where the students can't look at inappropriate stuff. But not too secure to where they can only go to like three websites. I would also like it to be under three hundred dollars. The children will NOT be able to take them out of the classroom. And I will not be buying a new set each year. They will be handed down.
TABLETS: I would like something rather cheap. I would like something like a kindle or nook. I will not be buying a new set each year. They will be handed down.

Water fasting while in school?
I have done this before and have lost weight and have kept it off so dont say anything about that. I want to do another one but im not sure how long. I weigh 162 an dim 5'4. I want to llse 30 pounds. Yesterday I had a job interview with Barnes and Noble for the holiday season. The manager told me that first they needed to check my references and run a background check on me. I really want this job because I love books, but most off all because I'm dead broke! So does anyone know how long it usually for them to call back and offer you the job or a second interview?

Am I pretty enough to work at Hollister or A&F?
So I need a job (and my dad is making me get a job for 'experience purposes'), but it has to be somewhere near my house. I was thinking of working at a bookstore (like Barnes&Nobles), make-up stores like Ulta, or at the mall and at places like Starbucks.
But I kind of want to work at Hollister or A&F, because I initially wanted to work at F21 but I hear that you have to be above 20 years old or something so I guess that's the next best thing. And I've also heard that you've got to be pretty to work there or something.
Anyways, I don't really care about the money. I'm just looking for 3-5 months of job experience and then I'll quit. But am I pretty enough to work at stores like Hollister or A&F? I heard that they don't really hire Asians and blacks, but they just hire caucasians. But I only want to work here because whenever I'm in the store, the employees just chat with each other and fold clothes (meaning, they don't really do much).
Do you think I can work there? Any other tips to get recruited (besides frequenting their stores a lot while wearing their labels and being nice)? :)

Why isn't Hulu plus working on my nook?
I click on the episode I was to watch and it loads and does the intro commercial..but then the screen says that's is buffering and then it says that an unknown error has occurred and I should try again or contact the support people.
I do not own the account. Its under my brothers name. But I help pay for it each month. I would really enjoy getting to watch some of it.

Do I have a Staph infection?
Hi all, I've been having recurring staph infections since August 2011. This July, I was hospitalized for the night for a staph infection(my fourth) that suddenly caused a fever of 102/103. Two weeks ago, I began to develop what I thought to be a stye on my
upper left eyelid. Over the course of the next day, it got larger and more rounded and took on the appearance of a hard boil rather than a stye. I put a hot compress on it the entire next day, and it didnt come to a head. The next morning it was much better, and gradually faded away until there was just a tiny tiny sore spot remaining.
Over the next couple weeks, I had pimples in both nostrils that went away. Two days ago, my lower left eyelid began to become sore and red. This morning it was huge and painful to blink. I put on a hot compress and eventually it came to a head. This was no average size stye, It was an angry red boil on my eyelid. Now, during the past few days, I have felt what I thought to be a pimple in my right nostril, which made my nose tender yo touch and was draining on its own, however slowly. This evening, With a light up my nostril and a magnyfing mirror, I was able to take a look at my nostril and annoyed to see a boil in my nose. I was able to fully drain the angry thing, pressing every nook and cranny. Let me tell you, there was far too much pus for it to be a pimple. All during the past few days, My lymph nodes on either side of my neck have swollen and become painful. I also had a tiny absess on my right shin, nothing too large, but it felt like a boil and leaked clear liquid. Any thoughts on a good course of action?

Should Kids Read Amy Winehouse Biography?
My sister is 13 and she was at Barnes and Noble today, she wanted to get the book "Amy, My Daughter" by Mitch Winehouse. She's a big fan of Amy's music, as am I. But, my mom won't let her get it because she's not sure if its suitable for a 13 year old.It's because it's supposedly a negative book with a tragic ending. If kids can watch shows with drugs and go to drug awareness classes, why shouldn't my sister be allowed to read a book that most certainly DOES NOT encourage drug use, but shows the outcome? Would you let your 13 year old read it?

Nook hd demo mode help?

Trying to find a crime fiction book i saw at barnes & noble?
I think it was originally written in french.It was set in a resort type town and on the back of the book is a section of a girl realizing she has been kidnapped. The first few pages were about an ex-cop who still wakes up early and who's wife had died. The cover might have had a picture of a beach.

Are there any books on how to write sequels?
I asked my library if they had any and they said no.So I'm having issues finding some.
I could just go to Barnes and Noble or something and flip through it, I wouldn't buy it. Well I might since I'm trying to write a sequel.
I know there are a bunch of website and I've looked at some. They're very helpful.

Advise me: what e-reader or tablet do I want?
Shopping for an ereader or tablet and I'd appreciate opinions. Ten points today for best answer.
My requirements: screen size 8.9 to 12 inches. Must read.epub files as well as the usual range of text, audio, and graphics. Needs at least a bare-bones word processing type app so I can make notes--doesn't have to export those files. I'll be using it, in addition to notes, for reading ebooks (usually from public library), listening to audio files, and occasional web browsing. I'm not planning to do any videos and I'm not a gamer so my games apps don't need to be much more than solitaire or backgammon.
It would be nice but not essential if it had a camera, a USB port, and an SD memory card slot. I'll work around if not.
I also intend to get a little keyboard but I believe every potential product is compatible.
I don't like Apple products so iMacs are out. Kindle does not read.epub files and I don't want to mess with a conversion app, so they're out. Of the rest--Asus, Acer, Dell, Samsung, Nook, Sony--what's my most cost-effective alternative? I don't want to pay extra for a tab that does a lot of productivity stuff that I would rather do on my main computer.

Is The Mortal Instruments kind of a romance book?
I saw a commercial for the movie and found out that an artist that I enjoy listening to sings a song for the movie and decided I should read the book, I'm barely on like chapter 4 of the first book (it's really interesting so far for me), but I just found out that it's similar to Twilight. I know that Twilight is based on romance and I dislike it, I'm a girl, but I hate books that are based on romance, I find them really cheesy and stupid how the girl focuses on the lover and doesn't do anything with her life if he's not with her. I bought it at Target and it was in the "Middle School Readers" area (or "Middle Grade Area). I know someone didn't just throw it there because
1. The book had the label saying, "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones" under the stack of books.
2. The other books from the same series were next to it
If it is a book based on romance, please tell me.Is it like… completely a romance book? Like, the book would be under the"Romance Novels" section at Barnes And Noble? Or is it mostly action and has a few romance scenes?
Added (1). Yep, just got onto chapter 4, I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm guessing people are just looking down on any Young Adult book that has a side romance and supernatural creatures because of Twilight.

Multiplayer on minecraft pe wont work?
I have a nook hd + and so does my sister. Were both connected to the same wifi and are even paired via bluetooth. Both of our local server multiplayer settings is on. Its v0.7.3. But neither of our worlds come up as an option. What's wrong?

What solvent can effectively break carbon deposit?
I have some spark plugs that are heavily fouled with carbon deposit. Other than that, they are perfectly good.
Im looking for a solvent that i could soak the plugs in overnight, come back in the morning and the carbon would simply just fall off once brushed with a toothbrush. What solution can do that?
I tried wire brushes but it is not that effective and i feel that it does more harm than good. Also tried sand paper.It is extremely difficult to get in the nooks and carnies. Besides, it doesnt take off the carbon effectively. And more harm than good. What worked best so far is soda blasting the plugs. I would say it got %85 of the carbon out. The rest of the carbon was too time consuming to remove with a knife/screw driver. Also some parts of the plug i cant reach.
Soooo… i am looking for some kind of solvent that can break down the carbon once soaked in it. Anything?

Im looking for a solvent that i could soak the plugs in overnight, come back in the morning and the carbon would simply just fall off once brushed with a toothbrush. What solution can do that?
I tried wire brushes but it is not that effective and i feel that it does more harm than good. Also tried sand paper.It is extremely difficult to get in the nooks and carnies. Besides, it doesnt take off the carbon effectively. And more harm than good. What worked best so far is soda blasting the plugs. I would say it got %85 of the carbon out. The rest of the carbon was too time consuming to remove with a knife/screw driver. Also some parts of the plug i cant reach.
Soooo… i am looking for some kind of solvent that can break down the carbon once soaked in it. Anything?

Where can I read books for free online?
My new job relocated me to Middle of Nowhere, Montana and there isn't a library for about 100 miles. I was just wonder if there is a way I can read books online or download to an older nook for free. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Nook color trade in/cash in value?

Am I reading the write book?
So I had to read Crime and Punishment over the summer but I did not want to buy it so I got a pdf version on my nook. The hardcover contains I think 596 pages but on my nook its 296 pages. I have to write an essay on it and of course I have to cite some pages but I'm a little paranoid whether or not I read everything that needs to be read.

I do think I have the right book because I read summaries on the chapters and it basically summarized each chapter I read. I think I do have the right one. I will stick with it and see what my teacher has to say.

Any anime with a main character has hidden powers?
If u could have it be a male in school. I like these ones: death note, fruits basket, full metal panic, black cat, dead man wonderland, durarara, blue excorcist, high school dxd, demon king, rosario x vampire, fairy tail, xam'd lost memories, bleach, code geass, karin, the law of ukie, angel beats, D. N.Angel, kanokon, elfin lied, DBZ, trigun, d-grey man, wolf's rain, and soul eater. Some of these may not b what I'm looking 4 but if you can tell me any anime like them id b grateful. And I also like K project. And can you plz have them all b in english dub and able to watch on my nook plz.

Error message comes up when attempting to root Nook Simple Touch Reader?
I just got a Nook Simple Touch Reader (for free I might add) and I am trying to root it into an android tablet. I followed instrutions from this site (http://geekanddummy.com/how-to-rooting-the-nook-simple-touch/) I get to step 7, and an error message pops up saying "An error occured when attempting to write data to handle Error 23: Data error (Cycle redundancy check)" I am on HP Pavilion G4 Windows 8, using the SD card reader built into my computer, and an 8 GB Sandisk microSDHC Card with adapter.

Is The Shining a page-turner?
I've read IT by Stephen King and was entralled by it. I want to read more King books, so I found The Shining. Now I'm 16 and I missed the movie by 16 years so I'm new to the plot.Is it a good book? I want it to be scary, and thrilling and in general a good read. I don't want to spend like $10 and then have to return it to Barnes and Noble.

Who/What to ask for when calling in about a job application?
I applied to Barnes & Noble about 2 weeks ago online. I keep being encouraged to call them and ask about my application from my family, but I have no idea what to say or who to say it to.Do I just call the store and ask for the manager? What is the best way to go about this?
