I am considering becoming a member. Can any current or former members give me their perspective on whether it's been worth it? What format do the "digital subscriptions" come in? PDF? I have a Nook Color and would prefer to get my subscription that way but anything dedicated to an iPad, forget it…

How to make my room SUPER Creative?

So I'm 14 years old and I get to move into a new bedroom in like march, although its bigger than my current one, it's still pretty small (18ft x 9ft) or (5.5 x 2.9) … I have a few things planned out already, for example I have a high bed with a desk under it and I'm getting some fairy lights both colourful and white to lighten up my room a little more so its not a boring. I'm also getting a nook (LOLOLOLOL love that word: D) for studying (-.-) and using my laptop and socialising with my friends when they come over.It's in the corner of the room, made with 2 bean bags and surrounded by an aqua coloured curtain to make it more exclusive or private. And I'm getting 2 shelves for storage and a make up table and of course a closet. But I want something to really spice it up and make it unique, something to creative, different and really colourful to make my room SUPER creative and fun. People have suggested a pool/billiard table or foosball, or pinball. The problem is that they're all too big and too arcade-y… I need something fun, colourful and creative… it could be something DIY or something you've seen on a TV show or a movie or at your friends house. But preferably so, etching special that is REALLY rare to find or not seem before… It could be similar to something you've seen before or an idea from it but I must say tbh I'm not very artsy so I'm not a very good sketcher and my painting skills suck so, yeah: P but really, any help or suggestions would be awesome :)

Where can I buy 3d puzzles in the Portland, Oregon area?

I have been looking around for a store that has a large selection of 3d puzzles in Oregon. I live in Oregon City but I am willing to travel. I have been to many stores, like Barnes and Noble and the mall game stores. None have a very big selection though. What can I do about my fast food job?

I am 18 years old and I work at Jack in the Box on the weekends because I am a full time college student. The older co workers are extremely nice to me, but the ones that are my age are the opposite. The workers that are my age are full time Jack in the Box employees, and they make me feel like I am not welcomed. I am the only employee that is in college, and they make it seem like it is a bad thing.
For example, there is this girl that is newer than me and she thinks that she is all that because she is on drive thru… I cant do drive thru because my Spanish is not great, but she is always commanding like if I am an idiot. The customers are something else too, but I understand that there are rude people everywhere.
I feel like quitting and working at somewhere like Barnes & Nobles, but at the same time I do not want to give my co workers that kind of satisfaction.
P.S the team leaders are really close friends with the full time employees, so I do not know if I should tell them anything.

I know how to save (he star next to the link) but how do you get to page where you can VIEW your bookmarks?

2) Why is the app store so stupid. I'm literally confused I search for ex: twitter in the shop & it shows me books ABOUT twitter. I swear I am not in the book section its the place where all apps are & it really only shows me the books about whatever app I want!

Which tablets sort ebooks into collections using Calibre?

I currently have a Sony prs 650 ereader which needs to be replaced due to a damaged screen. Nothing I have found is a suitable replacement, that is to the same or upgraded standard. The new Sony T2 is cheap, ugly, does not support MP3s and most definitely seems like a downgrade. I have over 1600 ebooks sorted into just over 200 collections and I need something that will allow me to view everything in my collections in the same way it does on my Sony, otherwise going through 1600 books to find the next one in a series is impossible. I'm concerned about reading on something with a backlight or a lighted tablet, as I'm unsure of the prolonged effects of eye-strain caused by the light, especially as I have rather bad eyes to begin with and I often read for very long periods of time. I'm also worried about battery life, as currently my reader lasts a good 2 weeks or more, with heavy use, before it needs charging. I have set up Calibre to auto set series into collections when I add books to the reader, that way it keeps my collections perfectly. I'm concerned that if I got a Nook HD or something, that the collections feature I currently have wont be the same and I'll end up having to sort through 1600 books each time. I currently have epub, pdf and txt files, so I need something that can read all of those and merge them all into their various collections. For example, I have over 100 books by a single author, all in various formats, I need them to all go into the same collection together. I could convert some files, but I'd rather avoid it and really I do need epub and pdf compatibility. Another worry is the weight and size of the machine, which makes a huge difference if you end up reading a book for 6 hours straight. Does anyone have any recommendations? Pros and cons? Please help! Thanks.

Just to add, the prs 650 has been discontinued, otherwise I'd purchase another one in a heartbeat. I'm trying to claim on an extended warranty, but finding it near to impossible to find anything that is a suitable replacement and they are baulking at giving a full refund. For the record, the mere fact that Amazon use the outdated mobi format is enough to put me off for life.
Added (1). I forgot to mention, I need something that works beautifully in strong sunlight with little to no glare or disruption. This is a very important feature to me, as there's nothing I like better than reading whilst sunbathing!

How much does it cost to tent-fumigate a house?

I have this single-wide trailer that is infested to the brim with roaches of every size and shape.this house is seriously unfit for human habitation.how much would it cost from various extermination companies to have the whole thing tented and fumigated, the industrial way? because its seriously going to take industrial-grade fumigation techniques, it *is* an industrial-sized infestation. I kid you not. I really don't even know where to begin, because this house is so full of stupid crap that needs to be cleared out. This house belonged to a family member who suffered from hoarding pretty badly, so there is just stupid garbage like empty boxes and papers stuffed into every corner. There is one single room alone that is literally stuffed to the ceiling with crap. All the carpets need to be removed, they're stained and caked with filth from dirt to dead insects and fleas to animal fecal matter. There is mold everywhere. There are holes in the floors from water damage and the outside walls are falling apart as well. The central heating/cooling system doesn't work either and the duct work beneath the house has been destroyed by stray animals. Honestly I wish I could just tear this thing down but that isn't an option.It needs to be salvaged some way. I need to find people that will do the whole shebang cause I can't do it alone. Fumigation needs to come first… then after that I don't know. I'm unsure of how dangerous it would be to try and clean this thing out without wearing hazmat gear after every inch of it is coated with insecticide. How do you even clean out a house after its been tented? It seems impossible that you would be able to get to every nook and cranny of an entire house.

He also tells that in India Girls wanna be white and a great preference is given to Fair(White) girls for marriage. He argues that the reason why People in India prefer and girls want to become white is due to their subconcious impulses of imitating their ancestors who were white.
Whilst I do admit that most of Indian girls want to become white and that there has always remained a fairly consistent demand for white girls in marriage but it kind of degrades the Indian people being not white and that they lost the skin tone by having sex with low caste people and thereby giving birth to a generation which was not capable enough to retain the glorious legacy of its ancestors even to this date.
What bothers me is also the fact that when ever I go Abroad I see beautiful cities in Europe and if I compare it with Indian cities our cities resemble nothing more than slums
I have often dreamed of Indian cities being at par with them but all I see is garbage ridden cities with roads infested with stray dogs and overpopulated lanes, unhygienic lanes and beggars in ever nook and corner and in traffic signal. I feel humiliated when I see these kind of this in India and the fact that what Foreigners might be thinking about India. And then his above quoted words do haunt me.
Shall we ever remain like this? Have we already passed a stage where even if we want to we can't return to our ancient glory? This over population is literally burdening our infrastructure and our youths dependent on western outsourced jobs, we still are 3r world?
Can we ever have beautiful country like Switzaland, Germany and France?

You can't accuse them of reading the whole book because there is no proof to the cops that they read the whole book. They say "im just browsing, trying to see if i want this book or not". But once you keep going back to them and say " i see you've been reading that book for along time, are you gonna buy it"? then they get all mad and start throwing attitudes saying there just looking and move to a different corner of the room.

If you had a toddler and due to have another baby the same gender sharing the room, at what point did you start setting up the crib/baby stuff in the babyys side of the room? With my first i know i set up the crib and did the whole nursery the moment i found out the sex lol, i already painted the room, Im having Another boy so its all boy stuff and colors anyways. I just dont know when to start setting everythin up becuase i know im not going to have the energy to be up and down off the floor putting together the crib and such to late in my pregnancy im 21 weeks now but idk if thats to soon to have a empty crib in my toddlers room (even though the room they share is huge and my 3 year old has his own nook of the room its a huge L shaped room wouldnt even see the babys side of the room from his side) my son is very excited about his baby brother coming he asks me everyday if the baby is big enough yet lol.

I ran over a cement block and my car is leaking oil now?

Yep so the title basically says it all. Basically my boyfriend and I were at Barnes & Noble and getting ready to leave.My boyfriend was driving and there was no car in the parking space in front of us, so he pulled forward.My car made a huge thud and made an awful awful screeching noise from underneath. We got out only to find that my car was on top of a cement parking block and my car had chipped the top of the cement off the block. The front end of my car was raised by the block, and my back two wheels were planted on the road. We had NO idea what to do and so my boyfriend got back in the car and put it in reverse and tried to back it up, however the car made that AWFUL screeching noise again and I burst into tears and so we stopped. We ended up calling a tow truck, and for $50 it pulled my car off the cement block. I drove home carefully and let it sit overnight. This morning I went outside to look at it and noticed a puddle of oil (i think its oil) underneath my car. I looked under it also and noticed a bunch of scratches and dents. I know close to nothing about cars, so I have no idea where to take it or whats wrong with it. I have a Mazda 3, so it rides very low to the ground.Im also scared to take it anywhere because I'm afraid theyll overcharge me or charge me for damage that isnt there. PLEASE HELP i have NOOOO idea what to do!

Nook HD or Kindle Fire HD? - 2

So I want to buy a tablet for school and I am stuck between choosing either a Nook or a Kindle. Both tablets baseline at $199 which is what I am trying to pay because I am a broke student. The key differences I noticed were the Nook has more pixels but does not have a camera and only has 8 gigs of memory (which can be easily upgraded) while the Kindle Fire comes with 16 gigs standard. I guess what I don't know is how easily accessible books are in relation to price and content, say if I were looking for this years required text-books. The Kindle does not come with a charger which would be another $10 and I have a $40 Barnes and Noble gift card which could reduce the overall price.

High school newspaper article ideas?

Small town = small high school.
Our newspaper club is just starting up. We have enough articles as of now to produce one full paper, but we would like to keep a bunch of ideas stock piled so a day doesn't have to be wasted by coming up with new ones.
About my school: Again, small city*, I guess you should say. Our high school is located in the 2nd floor of a college building on a college campus. The reason being so, is because it is an early college high school.As we go through each semester, we gradually get more college classes (with real professors and college students!) and less high school classes. The students attending the school are not "brains" or "geniuses". We are in fact the typical mopey teenage acne painted youngins who fill up most other high schools. We just had lady luck by our side when the right day had come, and are very thankful of the opportunity we are given.

What I am looking for is "out of the box" article ideas that will make the reader ponder, be completely impressed/surprised/etc, or give them a surge of a strong emotion (hate/love/etc).
Could be informative, persuasive, position… whatever mood is best.
Could be serious, like world news but with a kick, or something silly, like a "How to:"

Give ideas as if you were an interested high school student, please. And no simple answers like "beauty" or "science and technology". We are looking to fill those types of categories with our articles.

and read books there but dont buy them? Like barnes and nobles has chairs there and people usually sit there and read. If I just read books there and didn't buy anything is it stealing in God's eyes?

If it is stealing than what about the librarys? Isn't that stealing because your just borrowing books but not paying for them(supporting the authors)?

I know kindle can do this but I´d rather buy a different brand that will allow me to read most formats (I understand that with kindle you must have kindle e-books format) I can not buy the nook one because I am in Europe and Sony is a bit pricey. Any other options I am not aware of?

I am a 15 yearold male who likes action and romance with action. I'm pretty new to anime and manga but I love it! So far I've seen The Boondocks, Gunslinger Girl, Angel beats, Afro Samurai, Afro Samurai Ressurection, and I'm starting to watch Elfen Lied and Corpse princess. Also are there any good movies? So what are some good manga/ anime? I just ordered my first Manga which is Gunslinger girl Vol. 6. I read all of the other earlier volumes online. Okay, so I love to read but my collection of books has gotten so big that I don't have room to store them anymore! I want to buy an e-reader so that all of my books will be on that instead of shelves and boxes, taking up space. I would also want something that could surf the web, use netflix with good video quality, a camera, etc. I know right now it's all about the ipad but i don't think i'd be able to afford one right now. I am trying to decide between a nook hd and a kindle hd. Does anyone have any suggestions? i have a blackberry playbook but i'm very unsatisfied with it. Also, I get a lot of barnes and noble gift cards so I have a lot of nook books I've already bought, which makes me want to lean toward the nook. What do you guys think?

Can a broken inside screen be fixed?

Okay so i have a nook or had a nook. I got it for Christmas. I dropped it like 1 feet from the ground for it for it to land on carpet. Nothing happened. 30 mins later the screen went off since i wasn't using it. I tap the screen to make it come back on. All of a sudden it has these lines and like a big black rectangular thing on the screen. I felt it and it was no damage to the outside of the screen.It like literally on the inside of the screen. I dropped it once and the guy said i can't get a new one since i didn't get the warranty. I spent like 200 bucks on the thing. Can i repair ut. Or should i just move on.

So I had a few friends stay over at my place last night, all around my age (18) but one of them, Aaliyah, brought her sister along who's 13. Well this morning, one of my friends discovered her cell phone was missing and her battery was dead, so we spent about 2 hours looking all over my room in every nook and cranny but couldn't find it.
So, we thought it may have possibly been put into someone's bag by accident.So everyone checked their bags and when Aaliyah opened her and her sister's bag, she took out a green chapstick and a blue watch exactly like ones that I have and Aaliyah had no idea where the stuff had come from, so i picked up the watch and went to check if mine was missing and it was, so we emptied her bag and found that Aaliyah's sister had taken:
10 lip balms/chapsticks/lip gloss
1 watch
1 wallet
7 headbands
around 40 hair ties (Basically emptied my entire hair tie pouch)
2 eye liners
All of my bobby pins (approximately 20-25)
AND some money that we spent an hour looking for the previous night

AND after catching her red-handed, SHE REFUSES TO ADMIT that she stole them! She just kept repeating "I didn't take them, I didn't take them."

Is this what kleptomania is? Is it possible that you're somehow not aware/ forget that you took something? Or is she just lying? Because it's obvious that she took it, since no one else was ever alone in my room for a long time except for her when she said she was "sleeping". Does anyone know what I can do? We still haven't found the phone. I think she needs psychiatric help.

Okay, i think i better start off by saying that i own a cat and a rabbit, of which the rabbit lives in the garage, and the cat at nights! I don't often bring my rabbit inside, but i give him the love and affection he needs where he is. Anyway ever since i bought him (about 3 months ago) he had a little black bug crawling around his fur, it would appear but then disappear when i'd try to pinch the little bugger with my finger nails. Anyway i had my rabbit in one afternoon a few days back, it was for about 3-4 hours, and i wonder if the whatever it was, was transferred onto my bed sheets? Around about the same night, if not one after, i started getting, what looked like, heat bumps on my legs, kneecaps, had a few on my arm, and one on my stomach, mainly being around my ankle/leg. I just thought that they were heat bumps, but over the past day, i've realised that, these so called bumps can't be heat bumps because they are way too consistent and frequent. I just walking into my bedroom and sat down, put my laptop on my knee and thought i'd just check a few things, and i can feel this funny tingling on the inside of my thigh, i look under where my laptop is, and this little flea jumps from my thigh to my arm. I took no hesitation to pinch him up put him on a piece of paper and kill it.It's definately dead now! I'm just asking, if there's one, will there be a high chance there is any more? I know the next step is too probably wash all my bed sheets, dry them, and hoover ever nook and cranny there is, just for safe measures! Just asking for an opinion off of someone who is experienced and knows what there on about? I know usually when there's one, there's a hundred more, but this is the first one i have seen! I'll sleep tonight, and see if there's anymore bites on me tomorrow, if not then a good sign hey?
