Should we stay where we are at?

My best friend and I live together.
We currently live in a one bedroom apartment.
I just graduated and will be working soon. (Just accepted job offer).
He has been working for a few months.
We both will be making a good salary ($7.5k a month together), but should it be wasted on rent?
He has his bedroom, and mine is in the dining room (I use a curtain as the door). Our apartment is a little old, but is kept up by the owners really well. They are also currently remodeling the outside.

Do you think it would be worth it to move into a two bedroom so I can have an actual bedroom?

Pros of Current Apartment:
Its only $700 a month total (w/o utilities)
It's really big (1100 sqft)
Great location (near everything)

Cons:
My bedroom is in the dining room (we use the breakfast nook as dining room)
We share a closet

Pros of New Apt.:
Newer
Two bedroom (I get an actual bedroom)
My own closet

Cons:
Won't be in the middle of everything (but still a decent location)
Will be about $900 a month total (w/o utilities)
Will be smaller (850sqft)

Apartment gutted for renovations, landlord asking for damage payment?

We lived in an apartment for 8 years and turned in our keys on Monday. I found out from neighbors that our entire apartment was gutted (flooring, cabinets, bathroom fixtures, you name it and it was removed). All that is left is an empty canvas.

Today I received a letter from the management company stating we damaged the kitchen cabinets under the sink which was caused by a disposal leak that took them almost a month to come an fix.

Why are they charging us for something they tore out knowing they are renovating the entire unit as they have just about more than half of the community in the past year.

What are our options to fight it? I took over 150 pictures of the place right before I turned in the keys to document every nook and cranny of that apartment and there was no major damage other than your typical wear and tear from living in a 20+ year old apartment.

My cat is petrified.did she see something while i was at work?

Every night when I get home my cat greets me at the door. Today, she was hiding in the coat/key nook which is elevated off the ground. She never does that. She was meowing for me to come over to her because she wouldn't jump down at first. Finally, she did jump down. She then proceeded to very cautiousloy prowl around the apartment, the way cats do when they're afraid of something. Every time I moved she jumped a foot. Very skiddish. This is not like her.

We live in a small studio apartment … it is not very clean (oops.) We do have cock roaches and stink bugs. A few nights ago she spotted a spider on the ceiling and reacted to it by chirping … calling it to my attention so I could kill it.It was a big green spider.

We're on the third floor. All the windows were closed… and she wasn't looking out the windows anyway… she was looking on the floor…

what could she have seen that would scare her that much??? I've been home almost an hour and shes still a little on edge… I've never seen a rodant in here, but wouldnt be surprised. Would a cat be that afraid of a snake?

So my best friend is this pretty, nerdy and totally innocent girl.
She always likes the losers though. She met this guy who goes to our school and Barnes and Nobles in the manga section, and ever since then she has been fast friends with this chubby, asian guy and she has a huge crush on him.
He asked me if she was interested in him, and I told him she said he was too ugly for her.
I know it was mean, and shes been so upset cause I guess he has been avoiding her, but I am trying to look out for her. She deserves better.
But did I do the right thing? Shes just so much more than some anti-social nerdy Otaku who plays final fanstasy and is an asian with bad skin…

What are some random and interesting stuff to research?

Ok so I'm fortunate enough to have a lot of down time at work. I work at night in a group home and the residents are sleeping, therefore I have about 4-5 hours of nothing to do. I have an iPhone so I usually try to research things. I love to stay busy and I love to learn, so having nothing to do really aggravates me!!! I love history, art, self-help, ghosts, and mysteries. I have a Nook that I bought for work so you can also recommend books. I do not like politics or current events - I hear enough of that on the news! Anyone have any suggestions on cool stuff, people, or events that I can look into?

I went to Barnes and Noble earlier and got Face On The Milk Carton (Which I read three years ago, but I wanted to own it, hence my buying it) by Caroline B. Cooney and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (Which I haven't read.It was just two books away from Face On The Milk Carton on the What Teens Are Reading Now shelf so I picked it up). What about you?

So i went to Barnes and Nobles today, and went to buy a Moleskine Journal.

they had 2 different kinds: a hardcover and a softcover.the hardcover had 240 pages and was $17.95.the softcover had 192 pages and was STILL $17.95.

why are they the same price?

What's a good pair of running shoes?

I recently was hired at Walmart as maintenance and as I'm sure you know Walmart is a pretty big store in terms of square footage. Well I think I walk through every aisle and every nook and cranny of this store about 5 times a day and my feet are really starting to bother me. I just bought new shoes yesterday and so far they are ok but I feel like there are better shoes out there… considering the shoes I bought were $9 off brand shoes. What's a good pair of shoes that will offer comfort and support?

Why won't my wifi connect to my laptop, but it will to my NOOK?

I just figured out what my wifi password was and used it on my NOOK and it connected quickly. I tried it with my laptop and it didn't connect and then tried it again and it still didn't work. Why will it connect to my NOOK but not my laptop? Also, how do I get it to connect to my laptop?

Which e-reader do you prefer? Kindle Paperwhite or Nook Glow?

I have a Kindle Keyboard but I need something with a light. I have a Lenovo tablet, so, I don't want either of those companies tablets. I don't like reading books on a tablet, the back lighting bothers my eyes after a while. Does the Nook Glow offer color for books with pics and maps? I know that the Paperwhite doesn't. I'm not sure if any readers do. Also, if I get a Nook, can I side-load my Amazon books to it? I know Amz doesn't allow that, but,… you know… ;D.

Do I have to pre-order Kat Von D's book at Barnes and Noble for the signing?

Kat Von D has a signing in NYC tomorrow and I definitely plan on going. I'm just wondering, if I have to buy a book there to get it signed, or if I have to pre-order it online or something. Will I be charged for missing textbook pages?

So… I rented a textbook from Barnes & Noble a few months ago, but I completely forgot that I rented it because it doesn't have any kind of sticker on it or anything; I just assumed I bought it from the school bookstore. Over the course of my semester, I've taken out about four "workbook" type pages in the back of the book. The pages weren't numbered or anything, so I don't think you'd be able to notice unless you counted all the pages yourself.Do you think B&N flips through every single page and counts to make sure every page is there? Do they have that kind of time?

I just really don't want to have to pay to replace this book… it was totally an accident (which I know isn't really an excuse because I should have been paying attention, but all the same… it's four unnumbered pages).

Getting Big On YouTube?

Well one of my first videos was how to root your Nook Color to android and it wasn't very good, yet I got over 50, 000 video views on it and 200 likes and 3 dislikes… But now, every video I upload doesn't get above 1, 000 to 2, 000 views! Why is only one of my videos really popular and rest are below 1, 000! By the way, I have 250 subs, and 60, 000 video views total… I also have over 55 videos uploaded…

Do you hang out at Barnes & Noble all day?

I'm planning on spending a good half-day just sitting and reading in Barnes & Noble every Sunday.In other words, I'm going to treat it like a library. You think the store people mind? Do people already do this?
Added (1). @Cassie: The libraries in my city are really ghetto, and they don't have any of the books I want. I don't buy books until I've read them, and enjoyed them enough to read them a 2nd time. They have sofas, tables, and a cafe there for a reason, no? They even have free wiifii! It's like they're asking you to stay haha.

Applying for my first job at Barnes and Noble online and they need a resume?

I've been looking everywhere to apply for my first job and most places are telling me to go online to apply. I heard a Barnes and Noble store was hiring not too far from me so I am now filling out an application online. Since this is my first job I am applying for, I do not have a resume. However the site will not let me click "submit" unless I have one attached. What do I do?
Is it possible to find an application online and give it to the manager at the store? Has anyone else ran into this? Any help for me?

PS. not sure if it matters but I'm 16 going on 17 in 2 months.
Added (1). I have not worked anywhere though. I might be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but don't you need to have prior work experience in order to have a resume?
