Which e-reader should I buy?

I have narrowed it down to Nook glowlight and Kindle paperwhite. Please help me in deciding between the two.
I have a huge collection of pdf books which I will surely be reading on my ereader.So, how do you go about transferring such files from pc to ereader? Do you convert the pdf to another format then later transfer it to your e-reader? Keeping this into consideration, which one do you suggest I buy:

He's very protective of her and disclikes almost everyone else famillier to her memory.
He's dark brown-redish with a white chest. He has a shreded left ear and blind eye but this virtually dosn't effect him.

Heres a discription of my characters:
FEMALE
She's the main character of the story and has a talet in stealth, the knowlege of herbs and speed. She could be a little shy at times but she isn't afraid to defend herself and her loved ones. Her best weapon of choice is a black metallic staff. She's a bit african but has a strong side of native american. She has beautiful hazel eyes and dark brown curly hair. She'svery good with animals.

He's been alone for half of his life eversince his family died in a raid. He's kind, mercyful and could be a bit starcastic at times though he's a awesome compainion to have aroound. He has light carmel skin with long black hair and blue-grey eyes. I drew him and he's really cute but hard to describe… his weapon of choice are the chakra blades ( you should look it up, its realy cool). He's also greatly talented in martial arts.
I tjought about naming him Enzo but I want to be sure of what I want.

I know many people don't go to the library anymore because of tablets like Kindle and Nook. Plus everyone does homework online. I'm guilty of not going to the library but I'm thinking of getting a new Library card so I can check out some Dvds and books ( I saw television shows in a library so I might check some out)

Steps:
1. Get a face cloth
2. Put it in the microwave for 10 minutes
3. Take out some hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol
4. Get a chain saw and cut off your nose (DO NOT THROW IT AWAY)
5. Immediately put the face cloth on where your nose used to be for 35 seconds
6. Pour the hydrogen peroxide on your actual nose. Make sure to get every nook and cranny of it
7. Take the face cloth off your face
8. Pour the rubbing alcohol all over your face and scream (MAKE SURE TO SCREAM LOUD ENOUGH SO THE NOSE HEARS IT.IT WILL SCARE THE STUFFINESS OUT OF IT)
9. Get Scotch Tape and tape your nose back onto your face
10.Be happy"

Ok, basically I'm wanting to root my nephew's nook color for him. I've seen a tutorial online for how to do it, but I really need to find out what I need to be able to write the necessary image to my 8/16Gb microsdhc. I found a usb reader/writer on amazon, with this link here.

I need help… I barely have any friends (the only friends I do have aren't REAL friends) I feel like I am stupid! Everyone is so smart… Then there is me. Also, it doesn't help that I'm going to a better school very soon. I have no one to talk to about this.My parents will say I am being selfish because I have many wonderful things. They get very angry if they see me cry, I don't know why. I didn't want an iPhone because I knew I would get addicted to it… Which I did! I got sucked into Instagram and that led into some much drama and sadness and lowered my self esteem! Then when I deleted it, people got more angry! I am very unsociable because people judge me on how I dress. I dress darker than the next guy because it matches anything! I actually look skinny in black! Not that I'm goth! They think I'm some mysterious super-human chick! They also judge me for liking One Direction! I think they are very talented and good looking. Why can't I have an opinion! I'm very scared of talking to people. I try Doing what Jenna Marbles does and just not be afraid of standing out, but it just doesn't work! Best ereader for a newbie?

So after trying to read an ebook on my phone, I finally got the hang of it.My only problem is it hurts my eyes after a long period of time, so I decided to buy an ereader. I want something that's a bit cheaper (less than $100) but something that'll do the task perfectly. I've researched a bit and found some good picks.My first choice was kindle 4.It was obvious since I buy ebooks from amazon. But I heard that after a long duration of time or about a year, the kindle will malfunction (something about the screen?), so that turned me off.Is it true or false? Other ereaders were good (Nook, Sony, Kino) but I want something that'll work with amazon ebooks.So far, I see none T_T Is kindle my only choice? I'll choose the paperwhite 3g version later in the future but as of now, I just want a simple ereader…

I charged my nook to 100%, followed the steps then plugged it in to my computer.and a screen came up that gave me a website that said MyNOOK Setup.so i clicked on it and it took me to file:///F:/MyNOOK%20Setup.html so i clicked the website next to install and it downloaded a.dmg file and that is where i am stuck i cannot get past that to put stuff on my nook.i am so beyond aggravated what do i do???

Why can't a bookstore just have everything half price?

For example Barnes and Noble.
Book for $22.
I did not look at the price, thought it was a $9 book.
Never thought it would be more.
Nothing noble about spending $20 on a book that is not that valuable to me.
Did not buy it. Shocked at the register. Learned my lesson.

Walmart can sell something for 1/2 of retail price.
Why not Barnes and Noble?
Is there a law or something?
Even Sears can put shoes at 50% off retail.

Bookstores are going to go out of business with prices like that.
Granted, it had been a while since I've been in a bookstore. I use libraries or internet.

On 2-1-13 I went to the barnes and noble website and ordered a nook hd. On 2-2 they sent an email telling me it wouldn't ship until 2-8 because shipping was backed up. I decided to just cancel that order and go to the store and purchase one. I called barnes and noble and they said they would submit a request for it to be cancelled and I would get an email. Never got one. On 2-4 we got a email stating that the product had shipped. We called barnes and noble again and told them to re-route the pkg and refund the money. We told him we lived in a bad area and UPS couldn't leave and we wouldnt' be home. After a LONG battle the manager stated he would re-route the pkg and issued a refund within 72 hrs. Well we decided to check the tracking when we got home from work and shocker… it was showing delivered. The pkg was nowhere to be found. We called again and this time they stated they couldn't refund the money and they would just send another one. I told them before this was even shipped I didn't want it and now they are basically telling me that they are gonna send it and charge me anyway even though I told them I didn't want it. Can they do this? I mean can a company legally send you something you told them you didn't want and then charge you?

What would be better to buy? I never planned on having a tablet. I just want it for the books. I am a huge book worm and buying books that only take me a day to read is putting a dent in my wallet. Sketchbook search, Where can I find this blank book again?

I am looking for this sketchbook I was recommended a few years back. I'm trying to find it again because I am in need of a new sketchbook. I just can't seem to remember the company's name.So please, bear with me.

-It was located at barnes and nobles around 2007-2011 ish

-The cover was hard and smooth, but had a cracked design.It gave you the idea of a leather covered book but it wasn't

-Different colored covers could be purchased in either red, green or black only

-The pages were pale yellow, and slightly rough. They were not smooth at all, but not severely rough either.

-There were well over 500 blank pages(crazy I know but it was a huggge and heavy book)

-It was not spiral bound but glued, with a red ribbon I believe

-The cost was between $7.00 and $15.00

-The width was not longer than the height. Also the book could be mistaken for a huge story book sometimes.

-It could not be opened as a top to bottom book. Only left to right

-It had no distinguishing, or large markings from the company it was created in anywhere on the cover on the inside cover

I've searched for journals, sketchbooks and then some but no such luck.

Nook HD or iPad Mini?

I'm looking into buying a Nook HD or an iPad mini… I'm just unsure on which one to get. I already have an iPhone, so I just want to use these devices to read books, not so much for apps.

On the Nook, I like how I can insert a memory card when my storage gets too full, but they don't have ANY comic apps for free.My mom already has one and I can transfer all the book purchases over to a new device easily.

On the iPad, they have books for sale too, but they also have my Marvel and "comixology" comic book apps and they're free too. I just don't want to run out of space on it since there is no memory card slot.

I just need someone's advice on which one to get because they're both $200-$300 and I don't want to make a decision I won't like in the end.

What does my son need to do to get paid?

My son, Robert, worked for an owner/operator as a long haul driver. Robert ran constantly - he would ask for restarts (the legal 36 hours) and Peter or his wife would nook another load anyway.My son worked for this guy for over a year. Robert finally quit because he was running illegal logs and never got any time off. Peter would also leave him hanging by a thread for fuel and the truck my son drove leaked like crazy!!! Peter had some shade tree mechanic do the work on the drivers' trucks while he himself drove a top of the line '11 Kenworth.My son was told he had to pick up a load only after being home less than eight hours. Robert quit. Peter owes my son about $1200. Peter has also charged my son with a load of kiwi's that were delivered earlier - loaded wrong and top pallet fell. (Thought thats why broker and owner had insurance). He charged my son for a steer tire - (Peter uses recaps with no warranties) and refuses to pay my son at all.
What should he do to get the money thats owed to him??? Should he report what he knows to the DOT to ensure these types of things don't happen to others that might work for this guy? Thanks for helping us!!!

Last night I had this dream that I was at a Barnes and Noble bookstore. I was walking through rows of books and on top of the bookshelves were large bowls. Underneath each bowl was a bunch of money… a lot of cash and coins. Even though there were a lot of people around me, I took the money and put it into my purse. I kept trying to find the exit so I could leave but the bookstore became a maze of even MORE rows of bookshelves with money on it. I kept taking the money and I kept trying to escape but the bookstore became a maze that I couldn't find a way out of. What could this mean?

Why does it take so long to receive used books from the Barnes and Noble website?

I often purchase used books from book dealers listed on the Barnes and Noble website. Besides paying for the book, I also pay shipping charges. Shipping varies on whether book is paperback or hard cover. Many times I wait three weeks or sometimes a month or more before I receive book. Why is shipping time so slow for these dealers. A lot of times they will show book was sent out immediately. Yet buyers still have to wait weeks before book comes in.

Can my apartment owner remove an unpaid pet from my apartment without my permission?

2 days ago, everyone in my complex was notified that maintenance crews would be coming around between a certain time to install new smoke alarms. Now, our apartments allow pets, but you have to pay a 50$ per month fine.So I bought a baby corn snake recently, and have his cage all set up in the living room. The maintenance guy comes, and goes, and I go on about my day. I don't remember if I saw the snake that night in his cage or not.

But the next day, I noticed the snake was missing, and the lid was still on the top. Its not a very heavy lid, but I suspected that my baby corn may have grown strong enough to push the lid up enough to escape. After hours of searching every nook and crany, There was no snake to be found in this small apartment.

My question is, could the man working for the complex have removed my snake by order from the office, or is it even legal for them to forcefully remove a pet? seems like they would just charge a fine..or maybe the guy was a jackass who didnt like snakes and threw him outside or killed him…

How Can A 14-Year-Old Get A Job?

So I've looked around and almost every company only hires 16 years and up.My friend would like a summer job but not like full-time because he still wants to enjoy his summer (part-time). He just wants a little pocket money and some work experience. He preferably wants a job at a retail store or something like Target, Wholefoods, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble. Department stores are good too. Also working a a movie theater. Even if the application says they need to be 16 years or older do you think he should still try? Thanks.

What is the best chess book for novices? And why? A survey?

If there was an FAQ of chess questions this would be near the top of the list. Many people here have a favorite. This is a chance to make a case for your book of choice. I am nominating books that I know people have recommended, but of course you can choose another.

In this context I am defining "Novice" to mean a player who knows the rules and does not routinely accidentally lose pieces because they are left unguarded when under attack, but does not have a USCF or other national over-the-board classification higher than Class C.
