Is this too much of a gift for my pen pal when we meet up for the very first time?

I need a girls perspective from someone who will be straight with me; hence why I'm coming to you again from past experiences lol. Anyways, I'm meeting up with my pen pal in Uzbekistan. Im from the united states and this will be the first time we have met. She's really into reading, so I thought I would buy her one of those nooks as a gift. There is no intentions for anything like that. I just wanted to be friendly and given the circumstances of how far we live and the fact that it will be one of those wow, we are here in person together when we actually meet, maybe it wouldn't be that big of a deal. In your opinion, is that an ok gift, or too much? I also got a concert on DVD of her favorite composer(its small) Like I said, its just buying a gift for a pen pal/friend of mine that I haven't met and nothing more. Don't want to weird her out, but at the same time I want to get her something nice… Thoughts? My friend said maybe some jewelry that symbolizes America, or maybe an American based sports team hat or Jersey.

Where can I find professional clothes for someone who is 5'1?

I tried Macy, Sears, Express, Burlington, Palis Royal, and so on. So I try to find my size and it's always the kid section. Okay fine! Problem is there is never a shirt that I can wear to a job. What am I supposed to do? Show up with a Spiderman T-Shirt on my first day? Well it's Barnes & Noble and I really want to make a great impression!

I keep setting off alarms to almost all the stores I go into at the mall?

I went to the mall today and almost every store I went into it set off a alarm expect for Barnes and nobles. This happened last month as well and I don't anything on me except money (not even a phone) I did get dental work done on my teeth however, is it possible that is the problem?

Has anyone worked at Barnes & Noble?

I am thinking about applying to my local Barnes and Noble. The only available position is a cafe/ barista worker. I was looking online, and I couldn't really find any information about the job. Like, any good reads for people who are beginners to learn psychology? I'm not doing this because I want to be a psychologist; I am just doing this because I really want to learn more about this field of study.

It would be helpful if I could find this book at a library, or a store like Chapters in Canada or Barnes & Noble in the US.

Apocalyptic Story Title Ideas? Thanks?!

So I'm writing a story, and the main protagonists are a boy named Avery Banks and a girl named Hayden Florence. A horrible disease takes over the world's females only, much like Toxic Shock Syndrome, but once they have the symptoms of the disease, they only have minutes until they die. So Hayden is immune, along with less than one percent of the world's rapidly decreasing female population, and gets sent to an experimentation lab, breaks out, and finds Avery. Together, with a couple of side characters that will be introduced later in the story, they are on the run, trying to protect Hayden from the doctors and scientists from shock therapy, surgeries, and, finally, death, so they can donate her organs to researching the disease in hopes for a cure.

So, I thought it was a unique story line, and I was hoping for some title ideas for this story? I am totally stuck. Thanks for all of the answers!

How hard would it be to add tiny shelves to this nook?

Confused. Do I have a crush on possible predator?

So there's a guy I know who is 31 and I met him at the mall, I was there with a group of friends, all girls, all older than me(I'm almost 15 they're all 16) and this guy who looked a little I dunno. Nerdy? Just kind of unsettling. He asked if I wanted a hot chocolate from the caffe at Barnes and Noble and ignoring all usual instinct I said yes. Now I'm thinking back and he asked a lot of questions about me and told me a lot of cool things about himself and he seems pretty interesting and we have similar music tastes(: the thing is I do look young for my age, and he had his arm around me for a moment, along with seeming like wanting a kiss, like, one of those moments but I did not. He has my number and we've been texting and he actually seems like a gentleman and very sweet and such(: do you think he is a pedophile? Although I was sort of creeped out at first I don't think he's bad. Right?

I know they have to be directly sent by the company like Amazon or Barnes and Noble but how do you put there information on there? Like do you put there booking number and there cell number? And where do you put the information when you're ordering the book?

What to expect on a home visit/check for a pet adoption?

I am in the process of adopting a chihuahua and the foster parent is supposed to come over with the dog for us to meet the dog and for the foster parent to do a house check. What should I expect or prepare for? We don't have any other pets, live in a house with a fence, and have a deck---in case that matters.

Our upstairs isn't messy and is quite clean and tidy, but our basement is pretty messy. Do I even need to worry about cleaning the basement or should I just say that the dog wouldn't have access to it because of the mess? Is that acceptable or do they need to check every nook and cranny even if the dog won't have access to the area? Aside from this is there anything else they may check for?
