My fully charged nook hd tablet won't turn on?

It has been charging for over 12 hours. I have tried holding the power button for 20 secs. I have tried holding the power button and home button for 25 - 50 secs leaving it for 3 secs and trying again for ten.

I have tried these things over 10 times. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance

How to break a mental psycolgical spell?

I went to the barnes and Nobles to get this book I ordered and I checked out with this lesbian looking chick who obviously hates guys. Well she was obviously trying to get in my head. Making fast head movements, trying to beat me to the punch in conversation.

I don't no what she did. But she through me all off balance.My sexual confidence is gone after this happened. And I'm a sexually confident man. I can't orgasm like I used to after this happened. This little girl knows something I don't know. Maybe she knows some hypnosis books or pychology books. Maybe she practices magic. Its like she erased my memory. She sensed I was sexually confident now I forgot to know how to have sex.

This is messing with my brain; What did she do?

Great novels about mages?

Due to my rpging like crazy I have developed a need for books pertaining to mages. I would like to read something with a female mage in a fantasy setting (other than this world). I went to Barnes and Noble only to find that most of the books had either terrible reviews or were set in this day and age i.e. New York or London. I searched for a few hours and found nothing worth buying. Most of the "magical" books were in the tween section and I can't even stand it in that aisle so that is a straight up no. I have read Tolkien, Salvatore, Martin, and some of Brooks. I would love to be able to get into a series again like I did with GoT or LotR but this time with more magic and mages.My search for the perfect book has driven me crazy and now I'm stuck with reading nothing. There must be something!
I made a short list of things that would make the perfect book for me:
Female mage main character
Undead
Gothic vibe
Held in a fantasy setting
Dragons, faeries, spirits
An epic quest to carry the story
Third person view
(Bonus points: necromancers)

If you know of any books that may fit this description please recommenced them! I'm at my wits end trying to find a book that it worth reading.

Was in barnes and noble once, i found a book about a girl whose like 14-15 years old it was a YA romance novel. I went back to get it but haven't been able to find it again, it was a romance novel,

What are refurbished tablets?

I know refurbished means not new, but when it comes to a tablet what does it mean exactly? because i bought a nook hd+ on ebay for 140 dollars, but it was advertised as brand new… some reviewers are saying about the seller that they are actually refurbished… i know the nook hd has some updates with the google play store, so could refurbished in this case just mean updating the OS?

Nexus 7 vs nook hd+? which way to go?

I will be purchasing a new tablet soon.My choices are between nexus7 32gb at 199.00 and nook hd+ 32 gb at 179.00.I have accounts at both amazon and barnes and noble.It's my understanding the nook will now have google play store where it will carry the kindle app. Tablet will be mainly a reader. In an Orwellian society, could books be banned and replaced with Kindles and Nooks?

I don't buy the idea that Kindles and Nooks are better for the environment. Yes, they don't cut tress to do print books, but a lot of pollution comes from manufacturing electronic devices.

We know that books can last for over a century if taken care of. I have books that are over 50 years from my father. The library has books that are over 80 years old.

I believe that there's a conspiracy on replacing books for electronic files.

Anything that you read online or on an electronic device can be recorded. If books are destroyed, and replaced completely by electronic files, the government would know everything, and anything that's you've ever read in your life.

Today, I can go to a library and read whatever book I want, and no one has to know what I'm reading unless I borrow the book.
I can buy any book or get any book to read without the government knowing what I'm reading.

If books are banned. We are opening the door to the government having a record of everything and anything we read.

Who guarantees that my electronic files on a computer, a Kindle or a Nook are going to be here after 50 years?

How many decades do those devices work before breaking down?

Who's assures me that the electronic files will be compatible with the technology 50 years from now?

I'm not against having electronic files,

but why do some people support the idea of replacing books with e-files?

Why does my nook die when i plug it into the charger?

New Apartment Bed Bugs!

Hi we moved into an apartment that had bed bugs.well my baby is getting bit pretty bad I have to put her in her newborn bed and shes seven months… I have done a lot but i don't want to bleAch… I have an idea to use caulk to seal all of her cribs nooks and crannys so they cannot enter or leave and I wanted to put sticky mats at her cribs feet. Her crib also has holes because it is how its made which i plan to seal up also with little dabs of caulk. I just want her to sleep better at night shes miserable (and so am i). Are these good ideas?

What does temporary employment mean?

I applied to Barnes & Noble and was offered a temporary cafe server position. I accepted since I really want to work there and want to gain work experience since I don't have any. They said I'll be employed for 90 days and then they'll see if they need more employers and my work ethic to see if I can be part time. But I'm curious as to why they would hire someone for only 90 days? I'll be working once September starts.

Publishing company wants to publish my book, how much could I get paid?

So, a small publishing company has decided that they want to fund, publish, and license my book. Though it isn't a very well-known, nor big company such as RandomHouse and the like.
Though it has published some books that I'd classify as prestigious in accordance to my tastes.As well as a few good distributors like Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
So, lets say, hypothetically, that my book turned to be a good seller for a small company, approximately 7, 000-10, 000 copies sold. How much money would I make? They offer 50%, as further detail.
Now, lets say that the book isn't a very good seller, how much would I make then?
And Ive read about people who've gotten really good sales from a small company and have then gotten recognized from a bigger publishing business. How often is that? Is it really rare, or quite common? I understand from what I've read that if you go to a big company as a first time writer it is quite a hassle because they won't support you. But by this method, you're almost guaranteed another contract, so I wanted to try this out.

Nook vs Kindle Which is better?

I've been thinking about getting an e-reader and right now it's between the Nook Simple Touch or the Kindle Paperwhite 3G.
One big thing I want in an e-reader is for the screen to look as much like paper as possible.

Want to buy a tablet?

I live in Alaska in the United States. I really want to buy a tablet. But I can't decide which one I want. I know there are several different kinds. Like the Nook, Kindle, Kindle Fire, Samsung, iPad, iPad mini, I think there are more kinds of tablets out there. I really want to get an iPad because that is the only product I know how to get stuff onto it like music and apps ect. But I have been told that Apple products have bad battery life. And they are the most expensive of all the tablets out there. But I want to be able to have the same apps I have on my ipod touch. Like Candy Crush and facebook and other games or apps that apple has. I think I saw someone with Candy Crush on a Kindle Fire, but it also kind of looks like and iPad Mini.

What tablet is the best, and which tablets have good prices? And if I was to get a Kindle Fire or some other tablet. How would I get stuff onto them? Would I use iTunes, or do those tablet have a program like iTunes where you can buy or download apps ect? Is there some apps that are free just like in itunes app stores? All I ever used is ipod, ipod touch and iTunes. I don't know how the other tablets and mp3 out there get there music, video, apps on them.

So I am a very into reading. I can finish a 250-300 page book in a matter of couple days which can also be a problem because I wind up running out of books really fast. When I was younger my sister did this thing where she read copies of books and reviewed them before they were released to the public.It was free and I heard someone talking about something similar the other day and I was wondering if anybody knew of a place I could sign up for that. I have a Nook HD+ tablet. The ebook reader on it has options of changing font size, style etc but what I want to do is to make the background colour green on which black text is displayed.So is there any ebook reader that does this?

I went to go buy a few of her books but in the mystery section there were only a few of her books, i would imagine that they would carry much more of her books in the store. Am I doing the right thing?

I've recently completed my second degree. I'm employed.
Just underemployed working in retail.

I've got 5 internships under my belt. 2 trips abroad.
A lot of interviews are coming my way. I've even gotten to second and third rounds.
I'm obviously qualified then right?

The economy is bad everywhere, but its better in another city in my state.
I'd like to transfer my current job to the other city (yes I can do this)
in hopes of having an easier time finding a second job (any kind will do right now) in that city.

I mean I'm having a hard time getting a job at Barnes & Noble.
I'm not a criminal either.

Is this a good idea? I have more friends and family there anyhow.

I got wifi on my nook tablet. I just registered for a free trial of Netflix on my moms regular computer. I have an auxiliary cord that would plug a cell phone to the aux port in the car.Is there any way I can hook my nook tablet to my moms Toshiba flat screen, and stream movies from the Nook Tablet Netflix app with the instant stream free trial that Netflix offers on my moms tv? Also, using that hdmi cable that came with my nook too.

I figured out how to charge the Nook with the small end of the hdmi cable plugged into the side of the tv, than the bigger end in the side of the Nook like a cell phone charging on a computer, but no matter what video source I select, I cannot pull up my nook tablet on the tv screen.It says no signal.

What are in these huge churches?

All those giant cathedrals, and mosques, and temples, and all the other mega-buildings of worship… why are they so big? I can see maybe trying to show the glory of God but honestly I think it might also have something to do with impressing people and domination and fear. And God does not need a giant church to be worshiped.

Is it also for the huge crowds that they get?

Where do all those doors and passageways lead to? Is a lot of the space just attic space or air or does every nook and cranny have a purpose? Like a special room to hold the priest's clothes. And another room for the quarters of the monks and stuff. And a giant library. Etc. Are there churches like that that just endlessly go on with tunnels and passageways and doors and stuff?
