How to make my blog more popular?

I started my own personal Video Gaming & Entertainment blog site called Tauri33 Gamer (http://tauri33gameblog.com) about 6 months ago (the beginning of July 2012). I post as often as I can, but with my full-time job and my family, I mainly am able to maintain this blog on a part-time basis, but would like to be able to work on it full-time.Is there any advice on how I can make my blog more popular? I do get an average of about 200 to 400 views per day, but I don't seem to get any blog followers. I feel like I am providing quality content and I try very hard to post several posts (somewhere about 2 to 6 per week). I have options available for following the blog by email updates, Twitter, and RSS Feed. Also, is there a way I can make my blog more profitable? I am currently an affiliate partner with such companies such as Amazon.com, Entertainment Earth, Barnes & Noble, GameStop, & Apple iTunes. I also have a Google AdSense account. I have links on my site, but no one seems to be interested in using them. I am hoping to generate revenue with these affiliate links so I can eventually transition my time on maintaining my blog from part-time to full-time. I also would like my blog to become a respected resource of information for the video gaming industry as well as for television & movie news and updates.

Are self-published books any good?

I am really interested in reading The Escape by Lindsay Luterman.It looks really good. But I can't figure out if it's self-published.Is it? And if so, can self-published books be of good quality? My Idea? For A Book? Your Opinion, Please?

A little warning: There is romance. If you're looking for innocence, shop in the children's section of Barnes and Nobles.
The two main characters are Edgar Charlemagne and Penelope Nitch. Penelope is a human girl, caught up in the tragedies of being a teenage book worm, while Edgar is a high-class wizard, or as he calls himself "A Magician." and is very highly regarded and a perfect socialite in the Fanatsy community. Edgar looks 16, but he's been around since human's invented imagination. He was born from a spark of an idea, someone out there thought of him, and he rose about 1, 000 years ago. He's been through hell and back, and as of today owns an apartment building named "Hollow's Ledge", It has rooms of all shapes and sizes, some impossibly large, some invisible to a human eye. One day, Penelope is up on a roof, contemplating life, pacing back and forth, when she trips over something and falls off the roof, screaming all the way. But she never hit the ground; she was in someones arms, and they were flying above the clouds. That's when she fainted.
She woke up in the lobby of Hollow's Ledge, with Edgar. They become friends, and go through a lot of funny scenes. He shows her around, after he learns to trust her, and she learns about the Fantasy Committee and Board, the only remaining group of Fantasy Creatures who live here, with Edgar. Eventually, Penelope kisses Edgar while they are walking through the clouds.
But, in a padlocked door in the basement of Hollow's Ledge, sits Karr, Edgars Ex, and a Physcotic demon drained of her energy and power.As soon as Edgar realised she was evil, he chained her up in a room, and there she lay. Asleep, for now, and hopefully disinigrated soon.
And next door to Hollows Ledge sits the Catholic Boarding house for Future Nuns. More like Future Tyrants. The head sister, Sister Q (they never use full names there.), knows of what the Hollows Ledge holds within, and wants to torch Edgar like they did in the Salem witch trials. But Edgar hs her under a curse that shuts her mouth and shuts it tight whenever she tries to speak of it to anyone.
Mr. Moor is the caretaker of the Boarding House, and shares Sister Q's ideas of Edgar. He has been placed upon the same curse.

Where can I buy a good Bible and cross necklace?

I went to Half Price Books and all they had were these lame soft-covered Bibles.So I went to Barnes and Noble and they had the same new-age Pagan b.s. I want a BIBLE. Hard-cover, thin pages. I don't want some thick, satanical pages w/ a cover that looks like it's my grandma's photo album. And I want a cross. A plain cross w/ no swirly jazz for the heathens - just a squared off, PLAIN METAL CROSS.

Why does the Nook HD+ have a hole in the corner?

I love B&N and I love their designs… but I can't get over that hole in the new Nook HD Plus tablet… why is it there?

What was the idea behind this design when they decided it looked good? What are some uses for it? The original had a memory card slot in there but this seems pointless and weird looking.

I just can't seem to like it, how do you feel about it?

I'm a sales associate at Barnes and Noble and this is my first job using a cash register. Today was my second day on the job, still training, and I cashed people out for the first time.
I just got so easily confused with all of the different actions and everything, and the woman training me walked away so many times and there was only one other girl on register with a huge line of annoyed customers because I got confused and couldn't continue cashing out this woman without help. :/
It was really nerve racking and confusing and I hate to be a burden to all those people.
I'm really afraid I'm not going to adjust because I am a slow learner, and I get overwhelmed kind of easy.
How long should I stick it out for?

I have to complete an essay for english class and I need to borrow a book (i don't want to buy it and return it, and my local library doesn't have the book), so I was thinking of going to Barnes and Nobles tomorrow. I heard since Hurricane Sandy happened that people have been going to Barnes and Nobles to charge their items, like laptops, tablets, phones, etc.

so is the people still swarming the store to use the plugs? Is it safe to go? I was just wondering, plus this essay is due on Sunday.

Looking for a certain book The Psychology of Drumming by Chris Peacock?

My boyfriend is a drummer, and I am a psychology major so I thought what an awesome book to get him! However, I can't find it anywhere! Does anyone know how to order books like this? I'm looking for a book, ideally with 2 matrix: one with the name of all vegies, fruits, herbs etc and what part of the body it's good for and how to take them, and the second one by part of the body you want to help and what vegie/fruit/herbs is good for it and how to take it. I don't want all the blah blah like where the plant is coming from, the scientific name for it ar the hystory of it, just the matrixes with minimum blah blah.
Can anybody help? I've been to Barnes and Noble, surfed the net, can't find it.

For Barnes & Noble Employees: advice?

I am 17 and was hired at Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago. Naturally I was eccstatic, and of course I was aware of how blessed I am to have scored this for my first job ever.
I've worked twice so far: one 6 and a half hour shift last Friday and an 8 hour shift last Saturday.
I work as a cashier, and of course I made a few mistakes here and there but for the most part I did okay.
However, I go in again tomorrow for a 7 hour shift and I'm TERRIFIED that I will have forgotten everything - how to make the different transactions, which keys to press, etc. (… If you've ever worked as a cashier at B&N you might understand what I mean when I say it can be tricky to memorize all the different key combinations to get to what the customer needs QUICKLY and efficiently… )
If I'm still in training, are my fellow employees/trainers going to totally lose their patience with me if I struggle a little bit tomorrow? I'm terrified: making mistakes/letting people down are my biggest fears.

Also, any other advice for cashiers might be helpful. I'M GREAT WITH PEOPLE, I just struggle with some of the technological memorization.

What do I do with the WET BAR in the house I am going to buy?

So, I'm planning to put a bid on a house this weekend. The floor plan is ideal for me and my husband, the only thing is that this house has a beautiful wet bar in the family room. We don't drink at all, so that wet bar is pretty much useless.It's a beautiful European looking thing though, so I'd hate to tear it apart.It has exposed brick, a built in sink, and a marble counter. Then there is some ornate cabinets above the counter.

Any ideas about what we can do instead of have this be a wet bar??? I will entertain any ideas--I'm posting for advice! Things I've already come up with that would need the plumbing re-done are: aquarium, install an indoor hot tub, create a book-nook (plumbing not an issue).

Any other ideas? If you have something you created from a wet bar you don't use, post a pic! I'd love to see ideas!!!

Kindle Paperwhite vs Nook Glow Light?

Okay, so I'm making the jump and have decided to put down the paper and get an e-reader! I've considered tablets but an e-reader is more for me.My conundrum is this, the Kindle Paperwhite has had problems with its screen (varied colored hues, bright/dark spots, etc.) BUT so has the Nook Glow Light (small tears in the screen from light impact). Features that I consider important for my needs are the following: a very comprehensive built-in dictionary (easy to use too); mild durability (I'm very careful with my gadgets but if I throw it in a purse, will it be okay); nice, soft back light so as not to wake my partner in bed or distract anyone on a long night flight; and a book-like weight and size.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Nook color urgent help!

Okay, when I try to get something from the shop on my nook color (it doesn't do this for the free items, only money) it says 'Unable to purchase: your credit card has been declined. Please verify your payment information, contact your provider to resolve the issue, or add a different credit card.' The only thing is, I don't use a credit card, (I mean I have one stored in my nook color, I just don't buy anything with it) I have $49.36 gift card! Anyone else having this problem! Please help! Unintentionally applied for a Kohl's Charge Card? What just happened?

So, earlier today I went to Kohl's to purchase some new converse shoes, and while I made the purchase the cashier lady asked if I wanted 20% off of my purchase by applying for what I mistakenly believed was a rewards card, since she only mentioned it was a "card".So I agreed to it, since I figured it was something like my rewards cards from Barnes & Noble and Famous Footwear or something.

It kinda got fishy when they asked for my SSN, but I ended up giving it to them though I hesitated. Later I did some research and found out it was actually a CREDIT CARD, which I guess made more sense … Luckily, the application did not go through, at least I think it didn't. She said I could get $10 off anyway just by applying? I don't remember if she mentioned that I would get a "letter" in the mail, but I'm kind of freaking out right now because I just REAALLYY do NOT want a credit card or anything right now.

So, did I unintentionally get a Kohl's Charge Credit Card? If so, how do I cancel it? Should I be concerned? And does applying for one do anything to my credit? (I have no clue how credit even works. I practically do not have any money left after my purchase.)

Please comment and critique part of my story?

My experiences at parties usually goes something like this;
I walk in, not knowing who to talk to, feeling vulnerable and unwelcomed. I look around, as my senses become overbearing. The green couch seems too bright, the voices too loud, my palms too sweaty. And when no chance for meaningless small talk presents itself, I find a semi-empty nook, hoping a like minded individual would join me. But no prospects appear. That girl with the long blonde hair talking about her drunken weekend, the hockey guy screaming about his many relations with women, the conversations seem to all blur together into one meaningless dialogue. But then I began to notice little things. Maybe it's the way she keeps twirling her hair nervously, or the way he keeps smiling, like a little kid who just saw his first firework show. Eventually, I stand back and really observe people. I melt right into the room, eventually dissapearing altogether. I use it to my advantage.At first, I tiptoe along their shadows. If I stay there long enough, they don't seem to notice me slipping beneath their skin, clinging onto the tips of their fingers, their eye lids, the lint on their clothing. I love to slide along the little moons of their cuticles, and go for a ride as they gesture enthusiastically. I love to place myself in between the spaces of their teeth and just lye there;listening to them speak, feeling the vibration of their unique voice, inhaling the scent of alcohol on their breath. But my favourite is when I crawl just beneath the collar of their shirts, where i can feel the fluctuating rythm of their chests, the warmth of their bodies. I can always tell what mood they're in. Their humor, becomes my humor. Their anxiety, mine. And I just watch and listen, smiling to myself. But once i'm brought back into reality by an obnoxious comment, or a stupid joke, I realize I would never want to talk to them, nor do we have anything in common. And when i get up to leave, I wonder if it's normal for someone to like people objectively, yet dislike them at the same time, and how it's possible to become intimate with complete strangers, on a weird plane of existence that doesn't even exist.

Kumon is packets in spanish?

I am very interested in learning spanish. I am want to start from the beginning even though i am partially proficient. I work at kumon, and anyone who is familiar with the establishment will know how effective the packets are for learning the ins and outs of the english language.It suddenly dawned on me that I would probably get better quicker if I could find some packets in spanish. I did some research and realized that there are kumon centers in south america and that the packets are in spanish. Does anyone know where I could download/buy some spanish kumon language packets in the US? (Internet, store, etc… ). I DO NOT MEAN THE WORKBOOKS THAT KUMON SELLS IN BARNES AND NOBLES THAT ARE IN SPANISH. Anyone who has ever done kumon/ has kids who do kumon knows what the work packets look like. Why won't my Nook Color install apps?

I just got a brand new Nook Color. This is my first time using a Nook, so I'm still learning how to use it. I bought the Angry Birds app and got the Netflix app, but when I try to install them, it says the apps are not currently available for download. What do I need to do? Ok so I ordered some books from barnes and noble on 11/2/12.It shipped on the same day. According to the express shipping I chose, It's supposed to be here tomorrow. But I tracked it and it says that because of the Hurricane Sandy delay, it'll be here by 11/08/12 (Thursday) by the end of the day. Best ways to remove cosmoline?

A buddy of mine just received a box of parts, covered in cosmoline. And there were no directions on how to clean it off, and out of the nooks and crannies it was packed into, other than… "Please to remove all cosmoline before assembly and operations."

This stuff reminds me of Vaseline that went bad and dried out some what. The stuff that is on solid parts, wipes off a lot easier than the stuff that is crammed into parts with holes for other things to fit into it. And some parts it looks like it dried on and had more applied a lot later (two different colors) and the dried on stuff does not wipe off at all.

Is there some sort of solution that melts this stuff?

After perusing numerous, similar questions, I've come to the realization that I need to send my s@%t through the proper channels. I figure that the proper starting point should be to look in some sort of "literary marketplace" book to find a literary agent.So I'd like to know if someone here can reply with some sort of link to Barnes and Noble or amazon that has one of these books. PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO LOOK IN A LIBRARY. Given that I'm lucky and talented enough to find a literary agent, what would happen next? I am looking for a tablet/reader that is really good. I generally want one that I can download books and magazines in color, surf the internet, and download apps. (I'm not a "techy" person, so points that I listed are most important to me). I am not interested in paying $300 plus for an iPad or iPad mini at this time.Is there any other tablet that would do the functions I am looking for?

Added (1). In addition, I don't want the table to "replace" my laptop per se. Just would like to have something that is a little more convenient than having to fire up my laptop when I need to search for something. (I use my iPhone for searching quite often at this point… )
