Should I use ebooks or traditional books for college?

I considered using Chegg.com for renting textbooks, but I recently discovered a program called Yuzu (which is associated with Barnes and Noble) to rent e-textbooks onto my Windows 8 tablet. I want to know if it would be better to get my textbooks physically, or if should I use my tablet as my source for study.
If anyone has used e-textbooks in class before, whether on a tablet or on a kindle. I would like to know what you would advise and what your experience was like.
