I m 17 and about to apply for my first job at Barnes and noble. I m friends with the store manager and a high honors student. My only desire is to have the weekends off, and I was wondering how I should ask for that. Do I say I m unnavailable on the weekends when asked in the interview? Or do I say that I m available and later request to have the weekends off? I have review sessions for SAT s on Saturday nights, and the weekend is the only time I can spend with my girlfriend since she works every week day but has the weekends off.
