What is wrong with Barnes & Noble's online store?

I placed an order on the fourth, which was confirmed but I later received an email saying it was delayed. Yesterday i got another email saying I had to approve a thirty day delay or the order would be cancelled in 24 hours. When I tried canceling my order anyways, they said they could not cancel it because it had already been shipped. When I check my order status however, it says it's still processing. I'd like to know what is wrong with them and why they're making it so difficult just to buy a couple books, especially when they say that they are in stock. I'm never ordering from them again
