How to afford to live alone?

I live near aurora colorado, average rent is going up really high because of all these pot heads, and someone who has never smoked weed in their life is suffering for it.
I make 1200$ a month, on 40 hours a week, and after summer my hours will drop. That's not really a big deal because I can get a second job, but right now I need to focus on moving before I get a second job, because there is no way I will be able to take the bus to both jobs and then have time to tour, do applications, and move, so that does have to wait for now. The problem is most people in my area want three times the rent, and there isn't anywhere that offers rent for 400$ or less, especially with everyone moving out here and not having jobs, or a good income.

It's the first time I'd be living alone, and my dad is kicking me out, I am 22, and all of my friends/co workers either live out of state or don't have anywhere for me to stay.

I have no idea what to do, if there is somewhere I apply for low income housing, or just call around to places that aren't listed, or what. No I will not go to craig's list to search for a roomate, I value my life, sad as it may be at the moment, but I know I have to be out within the week, as he hasn't tried to hand my rent money back, so I think he's giving me until then.

You don't know my situation, so kindly appreicate it if you didn't assume you did.
Since the day I got a job my dad was requesting that I pay rent, and until I turned 18 I usually go to keep 20-40$ which went to my phone bill. My father is disabled, and couldn't make rent by himself so I've been paying rent since I was 16 years old.

It's been me and him, that's it. It's been me keeping 100$ out of my paycheck each week and paying for MY food, MY phone, and MY things.
Good try sweets.
