My boyfriend is going to be in Rio de Janeiro for a month in August (3 months from now), and I would really like to go visit him at the end of that month for a week. The only thing is its my fourth week at this new job; i work in Barnes and Noble College corporate office, and theyre busiest time of the year is August-September. My coworker said its not as busy in the office and there is a lot of work to be done, which will get done regardless if im here or not. Im nervous to ask because i havent earned any vacation time yet and im new, but i would hate to miss out on this trip
Should I approach my boss with this or just not ask at all?
