Do cops need to be visible?

Luckily I only got a verbal warning but I wzs coming down a hill at 830 at night it was dark out and the cop was near a guardrail next to the ditch in a nook of the hill where you couldn't see him until you where right on him no lights or anything luckily I was only doin 15 over and I guess I'm just wondering if he has to be visible at night especially in the nook of a hill

Book Store for downloading eBooks?

Hi. Can anyone recommend book stores to me for downloading ePub format books to my Nook? Unfortunately some titles on the Barnes & Nobel US site you can't download if you're outside the US like me (I am in the UK). The Nook UK site doesn't seem to have the content that the US B&N site has.

Is reading a law book from '63 a waste of time?

I plan on applying to law school after I finish up my business degree in a year.

I work at a law firm now and like everything I am learning. We were cleaning out my grandpas house today and I found an intro to law book, roughly 300 pages and is a Barnes and noble book. Pretty cool, seems like it has some interesting stuff in it.

would it be a waste of my time to read this book because it was written so long ago? concerning torts, contracts, divorce, etc.

thoughts? I'm eager to crack it open

Where can I buy the manga Sekaiichi Hatsukoi online?

Does anyone know where I can find the manga Sekaiichi Hatsukoi in English? I've been reading scanlations and I want to support the author. Since I love the series so much, I want to buy it so I can read it over and over like I do anyway. (I've already checked Barnes & Noble and Amazon. They have it on Amazon but it's in German.)

Are we becoming closer?

Okay so you know how people normally don't say some things around people they don't know too well? For example "cuss words". Well this guy was playing chess on his Nook and I was helping him (along with another guy) and well he's not every good.So when he got a little "angry" he'd call the other person (the computer) a b¡tch. He said it a lot. (Now I have no problem with it.) normally he wouldn't say anything like that around me or in class. We sit in the back and the teacher couldn't hear so that wasn't an issue. I was just kind of shocked he said that around us. I mean we aren't close (I wish we were). I've heard him do it around his friends before (probably thinking no one was listening) but not around me. We have been talking more lately so do you think he could be getting more comfortable with me? Or could it be that the other guy was there so he was calmer i guess? and he knew we wouldn't tell or anything. Thank you!

My teller cash drawer was short $1, 000. What happens next?

I have been working at Wells Fargo for two months as a teller. I have been out of balance at the end of the day in my cash drawer a few times, but only overages of a dollar or less. I only work 20 hours a week. But I have the most solutions out of any full time employees of the branch, a great relationship with the customers, not one complaint, I am professional and come to work on time.My manager constantly commends me as a "model employee" and recognizes me. Well, two days ago, I was $1000 short. I couldn't believe it. I balanced perfectly during lunchtime. But at the end of the day I was short that much.My manager checked my drawer, the vault, all the crevices and nooks and crannies. He asked me to dump my purse in case. And nothing. I am now on admin pay leave pending investigation. I have no guilt because I didn't steal it. I had a couple of large transactions that day, and I am aware that I am ultimately responsible for the locking and maintaining of my cash drawer. I always count my cash twice to customers and once in the drawe before I hand it out so I'm trying to fathom if it was a counting error. The only time I left my drawer unlocked was when I went to the back 5 ft away to count my straps in the cash counter.My manager told me that they are checking my transactions from the day and also calling every customer with large transactions from that day.It sucks because my birthday is tomorrow and Maybe that's why my manager didn't call me with good/Bad news. They can check cameras. Lie detector. Whatever. Clearly I didn't take it. But how long does this process usually take and if I made a clerical error, will I most likely be fired? What is your opinion? (No rude comments please)
